40-60mph winds??? Holy crap that’s a tree blowing over recipe if I ever did hear of one, we had big winds a couple weeks ago and the ground was saturated and the white pines came down with vengeance, we actually had to lend my 2 generators out to family members as we didn’t loose power. So I was running around at 2:am filling gens. With fuel as they only run 10hrs depending on the houses demands, my father in laws place, he passed away in Nov. so we just have a cousin living there, and his sister who is in her late 60’s those were the 2 I had to take care of. You guys are going to have a mess till this is all over. can happen any time now.

Nice looking rig Whaler, now I see how you got your handle, beautiful boat perfect boat for all seasons. I’d buy that in a heartbeat, timings a little off. I have to put up a garage this year, as for my father in law passing the whole thing was put into a estate and will be sold off. Need a place to put all my tools ect. I had one of the bays in his garage, which he had Tri axles and could fit 3 in there at one time he owned 5 and as years went on he was down to 1 just to keep him a little busy, but he was needed elsewhere!!! Sad. Your boat is exactly what I wanted, no more inboards for this kid. I just can’t crawl around to even winterize plus all the fishing I miss on the account of freezing up. nothing ever goes my way. Good luck with selling that beauty, gonna be hard to see her leave on your end also??

Will do I know people praise them up & down, I only found out not many years ago about bending the pull point in the opposite direction of the way they run. I never have enough time or guys to be running around with a needle nose. Not to sound like an azz. Trying to troll with 2 guys and 6 rods doesn’t leave much time for tuning lures, just go with what you know works. That’s why I will admit I don’t give them a fair chance. This year hopefully we will have helping hands to navigate the boat!!! PAP. I will try to give them more time, I certainly have enough of them.

Well I always wait till after Easter to take the covers off and start getting things together, not this year!!. Weather man forecasted, C-2” starting at 5:am and over by 7:am morning commute might be slippery but not impassable. Hmmm I do believe that this might be a tad more than I ever knew called the Onion snow. As you can see I have my ladder resting against my Ny boat getting a head start on things.

I’m with ya on the Optima’s lasted 1 1/2 years same as any others junk!! My uncle for a week end warrior goes through top of the line as well as Walmart, just went with him to cabelas to exchange 2 AGM batteries, 2 months past warranty, they wouldn’t budge, I said to the battery guy, you know damn well there are 6 months of not being used and he bought the smart charger to keep the surface charge up and still no dice in getting even a % off, so no matter who you talk to it seems 2 years out of a deep cycle seems par for the case. I have Decka seconds in my boat going on 3 years now, hopefully they won’t jinx me.

Henderson Harbor in the harbor can be hit or miss with the browns, to get to good brown fishing going out of Henderson you will need to go through the cut and it puts you right in the heart of the big water. If it’s a calm day it’s alright, but if the wind comes from the south east or west it can get snotty quick. I would focus more on the Stoney lighthouse ramp if I were you at least there you can see what your getting yourself into. Also depends on the size of your boat of course, and mostly the wind. Maybe look into Sacketts Harbor up towards the Black River. I have a I/O so I’ve been out of the early brown season for awhile. I know those areas are fishable and support good brown fishing depending on the winds like any type of fishing.

O really man that’s a let down?? They look pretty stout compared to the Chinese knock offs of today. I really thought they would be older names like Heddon, yea your right I looked your info up and there it was, vintage cabelas Bill Norman walleye runners, they look good?? Hopefully they ain’t junk like they sell today, action, what action on there’re Chinese knock offs, the paint jobs sell those to humans not fish, there like fishing a old pencil with hooks on each end. Well all I can do now is throw one over board and see how the work. Thanks LakerTaker much appreciated!!! PAP.

Guys I’ve been looking for these damn lures name and manufacturer, for 2 hours with no luck?? You would think I would be the last to not knowing what these walleye lures, I’ve seen them at flea markets ect. But these came in a lot I bought off a guy, in a private sale, and the owner of them didn’t know the name. Need some help with name and of manufacturers of these for their dive charts. Thanks PAP
