  1. You’ve got way to much time on your hands if your polishing and waxing your boat 12 times a year, depending on size, I use the harbor freight oscillating variable speed polisher/wax with the 7”pads takes me 2-3 days depending on oxidation, I keep her covered when not in use, just laugh when the Chinese piece of shyt quits and plug another one in. They cost on sale like $39.00 a piece, I usually get 2 seasons out of a one, if the dump sooner take em back.
  2. Great thread, great pics, great prizes all in all Awesom job by all. Sure was a rainy day keep watching for new pics!!!
  3. Is the shipping $15 for individual sales??
  4. Thats what they, a buddy of mine shot one 5 years or so right after he shot his bear. Mike was gutting the bear when he heard a stick break he turned to see who was being nosy and his surprise it was a mt. Lion. With numbers tattooed along side of the tongue that led to a rancher in Montana, now I know they can travel far but I doubt it hitched a ride to Pa. other than trucked into Pa. Hmmm
  5. Wait if you put a thunderbolt in how did you time it, I think you need to be under 800 rpm, on the account you need to time the motor without the spark advance coming Into play.
  6. Absolutely!! That is a calendar Picture for sure, like whaler mentioned above you’ll have my vote.
  7. Yea and some insight on OL’ Marble eye!! This will be awesome!! Last year the attendance for the kings was insane!! Great charters Capt. gave out great secrets!! Hoping the walleye seminars are just as great with in depth details!! We talked about the show all the way home!!
  8. From what I have info on its not a points distr. so those have a pick up modular, you say that was replaced! I had a 1990 Chevy pickup truck that used to eat those pick up mod. Like candy I carried a spare in the glove box. Finally I got sick of that nonsense I replaced the distributor with a HEI and never had a issue again. Because they are a electrical no returning them for a new one. There are all different makes of those pick up mod. I had some that didn’t get me home, the cheaper brands, I learned that the Bosh made ones lasted the longest, but this shouldn’t be a issue in your case, if there’s no fire I’d check power wires to the distributor and also make sure your grounds are good, from the battery to the block, and that the key switch isn’t giving you the griefs. Check the power wires from the ignition at the back of the switch to the distributor, and power to the coil.
  9. Is it a points distributor?? Could be the condenser,
  10. I wish I knew you were selling your 204, dang
  11. LOL I hear ya there!!
  12. what about the coil, or is that a HEI ignition, what year is it, to my knowledge I've never heard of GM using a plastic gear on the distributor, sounds to me like a electrical problem meaning bad electrical advance, coil, now it wont start at all I'd pull a plug to see if theres fire at the plug, if so, look in the carb while someone works the throttle, with engine not running, see if there's fuel squirting out of the primary jets.
  13. some guys were wondering if you ever took a grey with your 204 and what was the outcome of the hide damage if there was any?? thanks for your input. PAP
  14. well that iwhistler on here an this very forum uses a 204, I know he took a few reds with it, I'm not to sure if he took any greys. Guess we'll have to ask him then we all will know.
  15. Thanks for shedding some light on this Dave. My wife's father passed away here in November. Some already know this, as I posted it on here, well she's not taking this very well at all and the likely hood of me making it out to Erie is slim, she's scared to death to be alone with the kids, its getting better, but it will take time. So the Brewerton show is a definite go for me!! so time will tell. Thanks again Dave!! I sure hope Brian Gambler Rigs makes it!! see ya all there!!!!
  16. For grays especially I use my 17hmr and the 21gr.BT even the 17gr with the ballistic tip makes a hole. That little pill is sailing 3000fps. or some like my brother "when he was with us" loved his 22mag. that's a lot a gun for a grey, unless you can pull of a head shot, not saying you cant, either!! greys are like the same as a cat their hide is thin and bones are small.
  17. congrats to you and your daughter!! sure makes ya a proud parent when things of such come together. hope she stays interested in the outdoors, and one day she can shoot a monster buck from her own stand. Nothing gets the blood pumping more like a shot from her direction, and your waiting, waiting, till you hear DAD, I shot one!! I can remember when I took my little nephew and the little shyt shot, and same deal I waited and waited, now I'm getting nervous, so I walk over to where he was, he shot a respectable buck, he was trying to figure out which way to go about gutting it out He didn't want me to be mad!! MAD I said I'm so excited you shot one, now ill show the ropes of this procedure!! GREAT Pic.and taking a Jr. hunting!!! PAP
  18. Are you talking about 6mm Creedmoor!! If so my cousin just bought one in the Ruger platform, I don’t know if Savage or anyone else has chambered this rifle yet, but I know he shoots the 110 gr Hornady BT out of his, he got his buzzing over 3000ft per sec. out of his, he hunts predators with his, he likes it, he first bought a Winchester 243 wsm that gun blew yotes in half, just about, that thing was nasty!! I shot his 6mm, nice!! No Recoil shoots about on a quarter for me, and with him behind the rifle 3 shots cut the same hole. Be interesting to hear how yours does. I’m a sucker for wildcat cartridges so I guess that’s why I show interest in the gun!!

    Ice Fishing

Most of the ice anglers use a depth finder for depth for one and they can see if a fish has come in to their bait, if the fish doesn’t take the bait right away the can entice the fish by jigging faster or move the bait above the fish and hope for a reaction bite. That’s just a few things, Someone way more experienced than I can chime in here, but that’s a start anyway. Hope this helps you understand a little better of the hard water fishing!! PAP.
  20. I couldn’t agree more with whaler, you can have the best of everything, not knowing how a coyote thinks and how they use the wind to their advantage you’ll never even see one let alone shoot one, cover scent is a must, and a cover scent for your clothes, I also use a product called blue coyote it’s a smell that takes the edge off, I spray it on a tree or what ever and I give a few squirts into the air. I think it works, but if not sure of yourself just a simple U Tube video will pretty much cover it, most important is cover scent on your shoes walking into your sit!!
  21. Thanks for the honest opinions, I’m looking at the lucky duck e caller quite impressive with the sound library no other caller has these sounds, so they say, also the ability to rotate the entire caller to point in a different direction or simply make the sound fade away. The attractor is remote control also, then there is the Fox Pro shockwave with this sound switch thing that I have to look into yet before I pull the trigger it will be one of the last two, if I can get crow sounds on the lucky duck e caller it will really make this decision tough!!
  22. Thanks again for your honest opinions, I was leaning towards the Fox Pro shock wave, I was really impressed how it can change the tones. If you look at a table of vocals the frequencies are so close it hurts, plu I’d like a crow call also. I had to laugh at Fishnut I had the 45 record player and yes it took 10 D size batteries, then in 1993 Paula bought me my Johnny Stewart caller which I have all sorts of tapes, johnny Stewart, Dennis Kirk, and some others I picked over the years, that caller took 2 sealed 6 volt hooked in series which they made a carrying case for a reason. I just wanted to hear your stories. Thane to all that responded!! Should have been out last night!! Thanks for sharing!!! PAP!!
  23. even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in awhile good karma always plays into the hands that give, and you will receive
  24. They are bottom dwelling Chinese shyt eating fish. My brother in law is very, O you shouldn’t eat this Bla Bla Bla so I showed him pen raised tilapia fish, he used to buy it and boast about how good they were. Needless to say after 10 minutes of the dry heaves, with his azz up around his earlobes, he doesn’t eat it anymore. Every now & then I’ll tell him their running a special at the local Shop Rite store, no reply
  25. I remember as a younger lad, most all of my grand fathers butcher knives were made out of the old two man saw blades, just something with the way those older saw blades metals played a big role in their choice of steels, plus that way once the teeth were sharpened to many times over a lot of years, they wasted nothing!! If they wanted a thicker blade for whatever, they forged the 2 or 3 pieces of the saw blade together. I agree that most people wouldn’t plaque themselves with such work just for a knife these days, but it does shine a little light on why a good hunting or butcher knife costs a lot of money. I watch the show forged in fire a lot, because I can relate to what these guys are going through. Then they needed to go to scobars grandfather to get the precise angle on that blade so it will do what it’s intended to do. The different angles on a blade determined how long a edge will last and still be sharp. Usually my grandfather had 3 steps to sharpen his knives first was a oil bath type triangular stone that the corse side never got used. The two finer sides were wore in a u shape, than a diamond not round but a humped up in the middle steel, then a leather strap, which he used a lot to sharpen his razor. After that it was of to the shop that sharpened, everything, from razors to wooden lathe tooling, and lots of wood planer knives from sawmills, and different style knives for belt driven molding making machines, that made baseboards, crown molding. All that fancy scalloping on the outside of houses. Before they were done by hand but still had to be precise as it was hand/arm power. Best of luck again in finding someone that will use this tooling for what it was intended for!!
