Sweet looking rifle, I love my 25/06, with the heavy barrel and laminated stock puts the rifle at 10# on the meat scale, no bipods, no scope, so I switched my thoughts to my 22/250 also to find a picatinny rail for those crazy Ruger mounts is tough, I called Midway, all the local shops seems everyone comes up with a blank, I hade a set if Weaver mounts for it but the lock no matter what I do it puts the scope to far forward. My 22/250 is a 700 BDL parts are so much easier to find I should be up and sighting the gun in mid week. Hopefully!!

The chip I use is Navionics hot maps with 118 other lakes, and it does cover the eastern basin of Erie, plus just about any other lakes I was on. It was $199.00 in the premium, they have it in the platinum also which is 3D, my Elite series won’t run the platinum but all the HD’s units will. The chip offers much more than water contours, closest ramp, where the species your fishing (should) be in such and such time.

This is one of the reasons I love to go to Canada remote outposts, this was the very first time anyone ever drove into LakeO’SulluvanI’m in the green military bibs, probably, 16-17 years old, the other guy with me his name is Mike also. Pretty late cause it’s dark and the second week of June was our time. Might have a few Labbats Blues, under my belt, that beer was high test compared to our beer, but it tasted sooo good after a few hrs of filleting eyes, we saved all the cheek meat. I used to take my propane cooker with peanut oil and we made French Fries and beer battered cheek pieces, the owner Ted used to come over with us and he’d get gassed and give up his secrete spots. A couple days later he’d see us and say your boys are really killing them PAP. I always did all the arrangements!! So Ted knew my name as PAP!! Welcome aboard, I’m sure a lot of us would like to trade fishing opportunities, freshwater vs. saltwater fishing. I watch that show on the fishing channel, where they use fly rods for everything, would love to give that a try but at $10,000 dollars for the week I’ll have to wait till I win the lottery. Omg I have one of those, my father in law and brother in law have pulling tractors and I videotaped the pull to see where the tractors either excelled or where the frames didn’t flex and or why things went the way they did. Cool idea, I would have never thought about that??? Thanks. I weighed my gun and I’m at 10#s I’d like to shave some off, thinking about a different stock, mine is a wooden laminated stock. I was reading different threads about composite stocks and they were saying they liked the added weight?? Now I’m a bit confused??

Does your guy spin or rotate on the tripod? Have Harris bi pods on my gun sometimes there more of a hinder than good?

That’s pretty cool, I built a A frame on my transom board and made it high enough to clear my windshield then a built a smaller A frame that sits on the bow, then a 14’ 2x6 spans between the two a frames. It’s a larger version of a sawhorses and I go to Harbor freight and get the silver tarps 20’by14’ that’s what I cover it with then I buy those round elastic ties and I put one on every eyelet along the sides and wrap the transom and the bow. The ties aren’t the greatest but for $10 for all that I need they last a winter and the summer when I’m not using the boat she’s covered. So every other year it cost me $10 for the straps and like $20 for the tarps ever 3 years and I painted the horses and put conveyer belt pieces on the legs of the horses so they don’t leave marks on the boat. One thing I didn’t figure on was when the tarp gets pressure on from the straps the rubber pieces I put on the horses, don’t slide at all there like glued in place, just one of the deals that worked for me, not against me. What you got going on is pretty damn clever also!! Nice job, thanks for sharing!!!

Man some of the weights up there in NY are amazing, no wonder those dogs bring down 200lbs deer without a tussle, put a few of them together and there a force to be reckoned with, I’m sure there’s some stories out there that callers actually have to shoot in self defense.

Man if I didn’t read the make and model of this boat I would have swore someone stole my Larson. Same color and all. Those 3.0L are awesome motors, cheap operating, yet powerful enough to get the job done. Best of luck with the sale of you boat!!

I wouldn’t expect anything less from a outstanding individual such as yourself, and to make anyone feel good about themselves, that went through the wringer like cancer patients all the more power to them!! My mom,dad,brother,mother in law, and just here in November my father in law passed away from cancer, I’ve been to 4 funeral in the last month 1/2 also my best man in our wedding passed 9 days after my father in law passed away all from that shyt called cancer. I hold a special area in my heart for those who have this god awful disease, and to those that can brighten ones life that have/had this shyt!!! May god bless the both of ya’s!! Like I said earlier in this posts, it’s going to be tough to beat whaler1 and his son, can’t remember if the young lady is his daughter or sons girlfriend whatever she can shoot also!! That pic of that monster looks like a wolf the way it stands there with (his?) chest puffed out. That bad boy would win a lot of money hunts that they have down here.
