Yesterday was the funeral for my father in law we had the viewing from 11:am-3:pm, being in the tri axel business for 45 years, a member of 2 rod & gun clubes and Berks county tractor pullers association, and the West End Fair assoc. My wife and I were very pleased with the amount of people who attended the viewing, which isn't easy for a lot of people, the funeral director good friends of the family said at least 300+ came, and we had a luncheon afterwards which was actually the dinner hour. We planned on 150 people, attending the dinner when I said I would go up to 175 and we were so glad we did. There wasn't that much leftovers, mostly it contained of desserts. I just wanted to say thanks to all that responded and even those who held my family close to their hearts, and in their thoughts and prayers. Thank you all!!! Mike aka PAP. and family.

Thanks LakerTaker, the fireworks pattern was always good to me I bought a pile of tapes for spin doctors and flasher, but thanks for putting this up for others. I remember years back the fireworks patterns with a Michael Jackson spoon 18"s behind the flasher was dynamite, you couldn't keep that set up in the water. We tore our last rig off and so I went to Fat Nancy's for more and they were out, but there was a younger man in there and he said if we gave him a 1/2hr he made 2 up for us and said I'm tapped out of resources don't lose these or your screwed. We caught a few more then called it quits as it was becoming more and more like combat fishing. Thanks a lot for the heads up. PAP.

Yea, I'm on the same page with ya 30+ years without it, why start now. The other one I was talking about is the tr1 gold that runs just the kicker, that unit is highly praised, but from what I got from Snake it's not hooked to the gps. And is operated by a key fob on a lanyard. But he did say it will hold your boat in 6fters. That not even a thought in my mind. But he did say if you do a troll with someone steering you can duplicate that troll with the gps unit. You can also steer the unit from this key fob. TJ also mentioned that you need to calibrate the rudder with the headings, that's no dig deal he said, 20 minutes your done. I've got other things I want to do this winter, like I want to pull up my floor and inspect. The stringers and transom. Make sure all these goodies are worthy of the boat. My floor I thought had a soft spot, so I pulled the carpet back and the fiberglass came loose from the plywood. That's where those back to back seats were, but they were removed before I bought the boat. So I'm going to read up on the tr1Gold, that has the throttle control, the tr1 does not have the throttle control. O the system with the octopus drive was designed to take you to a way point like faraway then stop at that area, and return to the original waypoint (HOME), I could use it to troll also and he said the computer reads your boats actions and corrects it with in a heart beat!! and I could hook it to a on board gps but would need my main to idle all day for the unit to work, I don't want that either. I'm going to focus on making my boat the way I want it first, before I shell $2500.00 on a luxury item, a tarp strap hooked to the wheel worked for 20 years so?? That's my thought on that at this point!!, Mike aka pap.

I remember those days, on the Perch River we had property and a mobile home for a permanent house. The kings were so thick at the mouth where it came out of the ground. During the snagging season when you made a cast the stinger hooks laid on their backs you had to pull you line a little for the weighted hook to slide off the fish and into the water!!! It was freaking crazy!!!

Yea that is a excellent price, I'd like to know what he's using for basecoats paints and what type of clear coat, meaning is it epoxy clear coat or the spray bomb clear. Not knocking the man's business, could be a hobby, like my chickens. Never charged for 1 egg. Take a look, might be a find of a lifetime!!!. More convenient than that your not going to get. Hope all works out for you.

I measured the very top of the gunnels and they measured 2" as I was winterizing my boat with a drop cord and a compressor with a air nozzle to blow the water out, removed water pump hose and power steering cooler lose, blew that out. So yea I'm stuck with the risers idea, seems like Cisco and Berts are on the same page. I'm going to make a phone call to both outfits see what they might come up with!!

LOL! Yea yea, that's exactly the same I drove down between these huge corn fields, there was a little "River Access" there was the first composting toilet there my cousin was working for the park service, that's how I knew where this place was. When I got there I had a hard time finding the "path" to back down and into the river, which I backed against a rock and busted my right hand tail light my whole rig was in the water also, so wet feet from the get go. But man did I catch fish, nice eyes, and smallies not huge but fun catching, with a bonus eye I was in Heaven, until I went to put the boat on the trailer, one foot front or back was the difference between being to high or to low to get the nose on and the azz end was above the trailer so I just got the front on far enough and pulled foreword enough that I could winch it on the trailer but the boat was almost settling on the fender. I trie to shift it over with a 3" tree I cut off to get the boat in, but I couldn't get it over the rollers on the other side. So I strapped it down across the corner and tilted bad. I'm the first one to to say look at that weekend warriorLOL That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!! LOL.

Sold / Closed 1980 evinrude 15hp, 2 stroke

Being in the starter and alternator business trust me we tried everything, you can't get enough amperage out of a stator plate type charging systems, they were only designed to replace the electric the starter used to start the engines, that's it, like at 1/2-3/4 throttle they put out like 6 amps, you could that on your toung all day if you wanted. Yes there's aftermarket kits that pipe big voltage and they do charge 14.2 volts with the small stater and even the newer rewound staters, their peak voltage and amperage is at near full rpms, not ideal for trolling at 1/4 or even half throttle. It's a little better than a battery maintainers. Best bet is to get a kicker motor designed to be a kicker like a Bigfoot or a 4 stroke with electric start, these units have been designed to do exactly that. You can have all the voltage you want, with out amperage your screwed. -

Xxx replied to finsntins's topic in Classifieds - Buy, Sell, Trade or Rent
Yea, I just got my boat winterized!! i had slush in the water bottles under my cover, so I put a hot light under the oil pan and you could see the block dry off as the motor oil heated up. Then I took the plugs out and water pump hose, and the power steering cooler. I blew all the lines out with a big air compressor, so,all that is taken care of. I held out till now with this cold forecast, last week we were talking mid 60's. -
