  1. Absolutely beautifully done!! Looks like it just came out of the lake!!
  2. I came across these Lake System riggers earlier this year, I knew the guy who had them and I also was told he only used them a very short time. Then hung on his garage wall for years. I got them home only to notice there is no mounts with them, and I never saw a rigger base like this?? Hmmm After weeks of searching only to be told good luck man. So I reached out to my LOU brothers and friends and a guy named Fishnut came to my rescue, he told me he could make me those bases. I told him he's my last resort and coming to my aide. Sure enough after a short amount of time the rigger mount arrived. To my amazement it was a masterpiece far beyond my expectations that's for sure. Then I needed a spacer block to fasten my new mount to a Cannon swivele base, so I took the whole works over to my buddy who has a machine shop and explained to him what I needed to done. First I need to fasten the block to the swivele base by those 4 screws in the middle that held the original Cannon spacer block and mount. Then I need to attach the new rigger base, so I need this threaded so I can attach the base from the top. I wanted all the holes recessed so I can use stainless steel allen head bolts. The above shows the stages. Somehow the paragraph go separated from the pics. and lost, so I did a quick summary..!!! Both these guys made it possible to use the old with the new and now I can use these riggers. I can't wait to have it all in working condition!!! A big shout out to LOU and my buddy!! Thanks guys. PAP
  3. Holy shyt man!! This has to be brutal on one's mind, all F'n year.. I did read that they sent the Heavy metal machinery to aid in the western side. I can't. Even fathom what these land owners have gone through since the spring thaw. What I don't understand is why is this catastrophe, unbeknown to the rest of the country?? 80% of the people I talk to don't even know about this situation?? I don't get. Is this a hush hush we don't want to scare the folks away we need all money we can get. The advertising for NY State is focused on the Adirondack areas, used to mix the fishing and the wilderness area's not this year. Man I feel for those folks!!
  4. Ha ha funny I stumble across this talk!! I looked at one in Sams club today and I thought that this cooler is junk, first it's feather light, not much Insulation in this puppy. The plastic hinges seemed real frail for a "Heavy Duty" cooler needless to say I left it there.. LOL. I have a Igloo cooler that doubled as a seat with a cushion that snapped to it, that cooler I have today yet. The only thing I fixed was the lock that holds the lid down, not really a lock. That cooler came on a 17ft 1988 Troller boat. NO I didn't Rusty, I left 1 just so you couldn't say I got the last one and now you can't find one nowhere but that's where I went!!! LOL!!!
  5. Yea great, the lake was just starting to settle in, finally some reports were starting to come in from eastern LakeO, now this. Why should things change now??
  6. Hey there Fishermen21. Great pics and absolutely nice in action photo!! Along with the proof is in the pudding photo's!! It can be done.
  7. Thanks for the heads up going past Sam's club later today!! Plus I'm in dire need of a cooler!!
  8. What's the new price? If all the above fall through, please PM. Me!!
  9. One thing to remember is they are fishing "in" 250-350ft of water, but I would say 100' to 55ft down. So no need to put 300ft of cable on this weekend..
  10. Pretty Damn cool.!! Gives a roof over your head while recycling at the same time. Great idea hope you and your wife have a prosperous outcome with this great idea. Would make for a pretty cool hunting camp. I would imagine getting the containers back in the bush.. would prove interesting, Old saying goes if there's a will there's a way!! Best of luck to you and your new business idea!!
  11. Congrats to your productive fishing time!! And a bowfin!!
  12. I use a group 29 strictly deep cycle battery. I have an I/O so I can't charge my deep cycle battery with an alternater only because they need to be charged slowly, and it is very hard on the alternator, you can blow diodes because there is to much resistance in the flow of electricity. The other batteries are duel purpose, so far so good. So I put 30 amp circuit breakers on the positive wire on each rigger. Nock on wood I've never run out of juice!!LOL I just have it in a box in the back corner of the boat. Makes it easy to access and charge with deep cycle battery charger. My charger has deep cycle, 2amp 10 amp and so on. Hope this helps. PAP
  13. Absolutely the locals carry what works, and like mentioned you can see it, touch it, and use it within litterly minutes, 98% of my tackle comes from the state of NY, most came from local mom & pop shops and from this very site which ultimately comes from the mom & pop stores around the lake. The other 2% is from big box stores when the common Rapala, Smithwicks, Bomber lures were on sale, and my swiveles and Snap clips are Spro. This year I suppose is a rough road for those in the tackle buisness, which makes it even more important we support the stores that are there for the goods that work and convenience of I need it now!! I'm only here for a week!!! Thanks to all that service our needs!! (In the fishing dept that is) figured I'd better clarify that!! . PAP

  22. I found one for my buddy, and it was from a guy on here!! And I think he said he had others, I know the price he wanted was $75.-100? I'll look back through my emails, what color is the plug and how many pins does it have?? PAP. Bottom feeder has a HDI 7 hook like brand new for $400.00 ! The hooks like my HDI uses the Navionics chip (the micro chip).
  23. What's ya got in the way of walleye gear?? PAP
  24. I was looking on line for bug spray, one highly talked about is called Bens, that's it. So I clicked on it with all 5 stars from every walk of life said it's great. Cabela's handles it. I'm going with that stuff, a lot of hunters in heavy tick areas, fishermen that fish down south in the bay area's all gave great reviews. Check it out Bens.. Bug repellent at Cabela's!!!
  25. So you have your grounds jumped from batter to battery then only one ground wire to the block. I'm still stumped as to why that wouldn't work ?? My very own boat with a 350 I/O does the same thing. I ran a separate ground no problems. Maybe it's the amount of draw required to spin these motors over, if I use both on the selecter on both my motor spins like hell even with new Optima batteries I can notice a big difference and starts way quicker. I have a yellow top for starting which is a cranking/trolling the other is a strictly deep cycle I can't remember the color (grey) ?? The reason I use these is my battery access hole is ridiculously small, so I have to take the whole back panel off which is 1 whole peice. I can get these in and out. I think my boat was designed for those little group 24's. Where these are bases off the group 29.
