  1. Thanks, I did invasion having to do some fiberglass reinforcements if I decided to put these to use. I'm going to have to put some sort of gusset in that area!! I've never seen anything like these units, they have a cannon motor and cable out to the end of the boom with like a cannon swiveling wheel on the end and the guys has those 10# fish weights that are bent to take your line out. To me it looks like a cannon downrigger on steroids!!
  2. I agree Chase, I'm not knocking the guy, I think his weights are awesome, I also love my 16#ers, and his 12#ers really work great also, I used them last week 50ft foot down they stayed right aside the boat, we angled my ducer back to pick up our lures, being the weight held the rigger weight perfect we could see the fish streak up follow and drop back down, while my other unit kept us right in the 50 foot zone but on the 40ft contour line. That's how high the lake is.
  3. Well I looked at them this morning, it is a Lake Master set up with a cannon look motor and cable and wheel at the end of the boom which looks like 2, (8-10) foot sections that screw into each other. He has a pile of stuff to move to get at them. I told him let's wait till it's cooler. In his garage it must have been 90* in there. Thanks for the interests and any info I can get on this. It's a new ball game for me.
  4. Yeah I did going to pick them up this week even if I decide against the the idea.
  5. I'll still buy Harvey's weights I think they're the best thing going. I've had people come to me with hundreds of pounds, his gripe to me was finding lead, good lead, but he didn't chime in to say he appreciates the fact that the guys could bury him in good lead, or anything at all, I took it upon myself to try and help the guy, and people came out of the woodwork to help. No reply from the maker of these great weights?? why bother?
  6. That's the best sign I've seen in a while, they haven't stocked a walleye in many moons in the Black River, my daughters first fish was a respectful eye from the river. This year take everything you know about eye fishing and throw it out the window. Charters are getting a few but not limits like years before. Fish the shoals with deep divers 18ft plus divers keep speeds around 1.9-2.3. 1 or 2 fish a day for now is being on fire!!
  7. Yeah I agree on the badass, I'm going to pick them up this week. I meet the fellow at my great uncles place on the St.Lawrence River and here the guy lives in Palmerton Pa. Like 8 miles away from my house, small world. He said the whole works are there. Plus they are electric whatever that means. I'll get pics up as soon as I can.
  8. Look up on here Harvey O'Harra torpedos weights
  9. Yes they do Garrymny, but there is to much tin in tire weights. Plus without any reply from the manufacturer of these weights, I have exhausted my efforts to go any further. I took this situation under my wing without consulting the manufacturer. This was his conversation with me at the Seneca show, I thought I'd try to help out. I'm out!!
  10. Out Riggers I have a chance to get set out riggers for free, they have electric motors? I think the man told me they are at least 12' they were given to him. He thought they were to big for his boat?? What are the benefits of these?? To those of you that have them could you enlighten me on the pro's & cons. Thanks guys pap!!
  11. Well we went out of Henderson at 6:30am fished till 7pm had 3 lost before we got to see what they were[emoji32] We did do at 3 dandy perch in the 12-14" Mark. Found tons of bait balls but no big hooks around?? They are there but 3-4 nice hooks but of on their own. Gonna hit the Black River Bay area tomorrow, got a different plan of attack for Ol'Marble eye tomorrow. Will post results. PAP!! Sent from my HTC Desire 610 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Thanks Les, we spent the day setting up my boat. It was so hot we had to get in the air co. But she's ready to roll at 5:30am will post our results tomorrow. Wish us luck guys. I'm ready to go now. LOL. I didn't take a pic of the sheephead, but on genes Facebook they have a pic. It's huge!!! Sent from my HTC Desire 610 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  15. We left the dock at 5:45am after setting lines Mike -ReelDeil has the first eye hooked up and it's a good fish, first eye in the boat is 10#s 4oz. after awhile, we're hooked up with a fish I think this is my wall hanger, after 20 minutes of give and take I finally win only to be gifted the largest sheephead I ever caught [emoji24] we grind it out for a few hrs. catching a decent perch and the only Cisco I ever saw Mike his brother and father myself and my uncle are on board with Gene and Samantha, known as Sam and one hell of a chauffeur left Mike his brother which both have charter Capt licenses and I helped bring in lines and the other guys set up the spreads, as I never used inline boards. This gave Gene a lot of free time to talk and enjoy the trip. We picked up and made a run to Gene's ace in the hole. The guys set lines again, by the way we ran 14 lines all day, board goes down I'm on the rod again, it's another monster couldn't move this fish, not another sheephead, this time I feel big powerful head shakes. I believe we got a hog on guys rod tip high no slack I bring the second eye to net, and it's a beast weighing 10.8lbs we wrap the day up. It doesn't end there because Gene and Sam gave us extra time for being so helpful and we were able to hit more spots thanks to the ReelDeil team. Thanks to Mike and his brother from PAP's family. A super charter to go with if your a walleye fisherman. We made friends for life on this trip!! Your the best Gene & Sam. The best trip on lakeO for after 5 years since my accident Sent from my HTC Desire 610 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  18. Thanks Ed. I know the they had 3 spade switches, I knew I couldn't bypass that. 1=power 2=up 3=down, I was hoping there was 4 that way I could have tested for other power, maybe less power to trigger a auto stop. This was the case.
  19. Thanks Ed, mine doesn't have the touch pad same as mag10 just a beefy motor from what I see??
  20. Thanks guys, I'll look up fish 307 see what I can find!!
