  1. Yup gonna be on board the 9th of June, Gene the king when it comes to O'L marble eye!!!
  2. There was a very simular topic awhile back, turned out to be the reeds in the carb. Not sure if yours has them, or which fuel, meaning 2 stroke or 4 stroke. I remember my buddy's putting other types in for performance and those were 2 stroke motors. Aaa ya, dumb azz me didn't read headline EFI DA!! Ain't no Carb. In a EFI motor
  3. Yea buddy that's a hog, congrats there young fellow your really Making a lot men out there including me envious.
  4. My boat 3,640#'s dry, 60 gallon fuel cell who knows what in gear, riggers, weights ext. she's a heavy old girl, you know your pulling something when you hook up to her, I get 9 miles to the gallon towing 50-55mph, with my truck with a 5.4L. Sorry that's not going to work for me hell of nice trailer though. Pap
  5. Your most welcome fella's, I thought it looked pretty stout!! So the pics was cancelled?? Where did you launch from, from your boots it looks like it's less than knee deep somewhere??
  6. Very nice guys, now that's a nice box of eyes!! Gotta love that bouble on the same rig congrats to your day!! How long was the Pike?? Looks rather long!!
  7. Yea I'm looking for a bunk style trailer, looks like you had a aluminum boat. My boat is a 22ft Sea Ray Cuddy with a small block mercruiser I/O so what's the gvw of the trailer?
  8. If I had that peddle power boat would of had a 4 stroke also, 2 on the way out and 2 on the way in . More power to ya there but not no more for me!! Those days are over. Gotta give you credit though. Anyone who peddles 3 miles out and back for a fish is defiantly a true sportsman& congrats to your catch!! Well deserved and your meal looks fit for a king!!
  9. Well I know from years of snowmobiling the worst case senerio is a froze over lake, right? Guys trolling for Browns in February isn't exactly what I call froze over. My buddy has a camp on the Oswegotchi River on the paper mill property, they hunted only a few days, due to the amount of snow melting and water was running everywhere, eventually into the river which ultimately ending up in the ST. Lawrance. After that I heard from guys in the snow belt area had a great year, after Mother Nature decided to have winter, the ground is saturated now and all the snow is run off. I can't believe that the lake level wasn't high then. In February they could of started the process of letting water out?? Now here we are knee deep in caribou shyt. I don't know enough to talk the scientific lingo, but common sense goes along way in my book?? but what do I know??
  10. Quite humbling to say the least. All those stones resembles who and what we are today!! We Shall Never Forget!! It's not about Hamburgers & hotdog on the grill, but it's why we are able to have hamburgers & hotdos on the grill . Thank you to all the Brave Ladies & men in our armed services for our freedom!! PaP
  11. Sweet deal there bobby416n, looks like it might have been a two man ticket. Very respectable fish at that also. Congrats!! To the both of ya!!
  12. I still don't completely understand this 2014 ordeal, what happened to the talk about opening the locks? If it says like this most of the summer Montreal going to stay status quo, or open the locks what's wet already is damaged anyway. Why not open the locks get the water down to a doable hight and start on repairs. I can't believe the Ins. Co's haven't put the squeeze on the government already?? It didn't take long for the car Ins. Co. To squeeze the game comm. to dump doe tags out for 3-4 years and the boys did a great job of filling tags. UNTILL you couldn't buy a deer. Free vehicles for the game comm. even bought the men in green new uniforms, all kind of incentives to keep the deer population down. So I guess when the billions of dollars start come out of their pockets, then the Ins. Co. will put the squeeze on the government!! Till then it sucks to be a happy homeowner with property on the lake. Sad, Sad Deal. How about the mom & pop shops that depend on the lake fisherman, I'm sure that's been down with the dock ramps 6" to 3' under, last I was up the camp owner wouldn't allow people to use the walk way to the docks. We searched around for useable dock, we found one! But that's a unload and a reload, not that I wouldn't approve of this is the idea of the whole mess. I'm sure I'm not the only one who didn't get the bottom of their boats wet yet??
  13. Great pics. Guys congrats on the capture of Big Mama Mackinaw nice box of fish thanks!!
  14. Nice fish and great to see a post with a fish pics. I guess the saying, don't matter how you drive, as long as you arrive!! LOL
  15. One is better than none, that what I have to show for this year
  16. Well I think I figured it out, the prop is correct, being I failed to read all the instructions, in a hurry it was raining and not in the best of mood!! being I used a gun to run the nut to the keeper then used a 1/2" ratchet that's shorter than the "prop nut wrench" I failed to torque the nut to 50'lbs I know I didn't pull that hard on the ratchet, even torqued at the proper amount wouldn't have got me out of a bind, because the prop would the anode, so you can either A notch the anode or they sell off set ones to compensate this delemia. If you have power steering do some research on your own to see other possibilities.
  17. I only ran the nut to where I had to line up the nut with that silver piece with the nut then I used a 1/2" drive ratchet to finish it up. Only used 1/2" cause I didn't have a 3/8 drive in the size socket, that's why the 1/2" term was used, I could have used a 1" drive because the size tooling didn't change the outcome

Sold / Closed Hardtop islander $3500

Man that's one hell of a beautiful vessel!! It makes me sick to my stomach, seeing these boats sell in the price range I was looking at when I bought the efin nightmare I decided to go with. I'm seriously thinking about selling my boat, and buying a 7-10 year newer, turn key go fishing boat. I bought mine a year or two before the economy went to hell. My wife says stop beating myself up it is what it is.
  19. Thanks Hank!! I put it on with a impact gun and followed the directions, that center buisnes.""ł Thanks for your input, now that I think of it this, this is a differant lower unit and I put the newer anode on which I just "assumed" the anodes for the I/O's were, the the same? But then again I should of known better with this marine shyt LOL, seems they try their Damnedest to give one the bone, this won't fit your boat, your will cost MOOORE!!! The part that puzzles me is I tapped the black longer peice flush with the prop. Then I put the brass spacer on the shaft with the taper towards the taper on the output shaft. Then installed the prop but the prop didn't go on as far in as the one I took off, which you could see the splines weren't pressed to the bottom of the prop (old style) if it would go in to where it's supposed to, everything would be alright, plus my old spacer is thinner than the new brass one. I have a 18ft with a 3.0 with a alpha unit and I put a new prop on that boat because someone had a 21" pitch prop on it I knew those I/O's take a 19 pitch prop, plus I use it to tow the kids on the tube around on our local lake. That fit together just fine?? I'm going to look into maybe the prop hubs are differant!! Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks PAP
  20. Hank what's up with mine then??
  21. I'm glad I'm not the only guy scratching my head. I purchased a 4 blade prop, mine fits in the hub, as yours doesn't, but I had to go with the new style insert for the hub and splines, my local dealer said this is the ticket, these guys know their shyt!! The new brass spacer with taper on one side makes my prop stand away like yours plus the blades hit the steer tab also, what's up with this deal, I put my 17" pitch prop on because I didn't have time to mess around I was heading up for the opener of eye season and haven't had it off the trailer yet I also bought the prop last year, the guy told me I needed to go down in size from the 17" 3 blade to a smaller one I don't remember what he said now. I'm going to take it back, I just don't want to look like an azz.
  22. My wife and I went on a hot air balloon ride, that is a cool experience. It's so quiet up there, we flew just over the tree tops and I saw deer, they never even picked their head up. I don't know if the pigs are as smart as a deer, meaning around home here once the archery season starts, the deer walk around with their head looking in the trees!! It will be a great methood as they wont hear you, see you, and for awhile they won't be able to detect which direction the sounds coming from!! Cool post Whaler!!!
  23. Man, that guy must a damn good secret spot
  24. Yea buddy!! Great post by Rick on the bottom side of LadyO which is well needed and well deserved in these conditions!! Defiantly a morale booster for sure!! Thanks Rick!! You Da Man!!. Just read a nice report on the Eastern Side!! Nice fish, good amount. Looks like Mother Nature is starting to release some of her magic dust, not the kind you inhale either
