  1. Couldn't of worded your last sentence any better, "weathers great & beats working" it's going to be tough everywhere till this water settles itself. With the opener of eye season from what I'm hearing it's going to be nearly impossible to run boards with a spread? I haven't heard much about the Black River Bay and Chaumont Bay, I'm hoping it isn't as bad as the more south you go. Either way Rusty I'm glad you gave it a shot!! Best of luck to ya this season. PAP
  2. Yup that's what pisses me off, just like the gill netter always sets his nets the week before eye season, of course he's netting catfish so he says, he sets his over on the perch river side.
  3. I'm hope this warmer weather warms up the waters, maybe then the Browns will start to come into the shallows to feed!!
  4. Man that sucks!! I know how frustrating it can be saved enough to buy a lowrance unit and it did everything but, find fish locate bottom, I was ready to punt the e'Fin,thing overboard, like stated above I need to set it for fresh water, deep water what transducer I was using!! Come on really it came with the transducer in the box, why can't lowrance have that preset, being a Frankenstein to electronics to begin with made this unit on of the most frustrating pieces of shyt I ever had to deal with. Then one update after another, I was ready to send it back and stick with my old humming bird 788, turn it on and go fishing. I truely understand your frustration!! Hope you get it figured out!!! Pap
  5. Man I hope your right Les, I've got a mother load of sticks coming yet!! He gave me a sneak preview, I should get them by the end of the week. Time will tell.
  6. Here's some of the revolution spoons and spinner blades Nick did for me this year, believe it or not I can't find my 2 2/8 size spoons and other spinner blades he did for me earlier in the winter months, one of my secret spots!!
  7. Nice going guys, got some dandy browns there, thanks for sharing!!
  8. I don't see how glassing over the plate is going to add strength, many guys that have kicker brackets have the bigger size plates to support the bracket with motor. The only way it would add more strength is if they added another pieces of plywood and wrap it into the corner and somehow affix a board from the transome to the floor at a angle, basically adding gussets from the transome to the floor. I think the guy meant you might have flex with speeds at 5mph with the kicker. If The marina mounted the bracket they are not going to do it if it would weaken the boats structure, as they would be liable. You are fine with what they did for ya.
  9. X2 that's what I have in my elite 7
  10. Fishing Erie eyes vs. LadyO eyes is like comparing a snow tires to drag rubber, two different lakes, clarity of water and the amount of fish you go over in a days time. I will say the theories are close but need to be presented in a very different manner.
  11. Yea buddy those are one of a kind, congrats to you!! Nick is the airbrush God of our time for sure!! I had some revolution spoons done buy Nick totally awesome, along with worm harness blades that came today, this week I have a mother load of sticks coming!! You will not be disappointed in any way shape or form you did this!! Amazing job by the both of you!!

  15. Do you want to buy it or sell it, I think $300.00 is fare price. For a 48 year old motor.
  16. Awesome man, JR smile says it al, "when are going again dad" !!!
  17. What make are the split backs, I remember a lure company called Mirror Lure, they went out of business. Then they made a come back, my cousin and I mail ordered then and they were a kick as pike catching lures, I still have a green one, only difference is ours had a metal square bill with a wiggle that the only lure that comes is a F11-13 If they don't sell I'll take them!!!
  18. How about separating some of the stuff in bins or piles, right now it looks like a bomb went off and what's left to meet the eye is all stuff the Irish shot at?
  19. I use a trilene knot to a #10 Spro swivel to mainline and a Albrights know from Spro swivel to fluro. #10 is rated for 35lbs and will pass all eyes and will as all level winds. For kings and lakers the same process but a #8 Spro rated at 50lbs I run 30# power pro on all my reels as backer and different pound fluro' for my leaders. I had no luck with the blood or the uniknot with the braid. Some say the braid needs to be on the left or others say the right, the knots appeared good but on casting rods I had the entire leader fly off the end, so I tried the superglue trick, I believe the glue reacts with the fluro, that glue made things worse. I'm at a loss with no swiveles in between leaders as line twist was horrible running walleye spinners and the slow death rigs, maybe if I run sticks it would be better, but eyes like spinnys.
  20. Well, finally good news at last!! We will take at this point, now if the water levels would get under control we'd be sitting pretty damn good!! I'm very happy with the bait situation, that fantastic, maybe the mindset of others will change some, on the predators killing off "most" of the bait for the other preferred species.
  21. That's an oldie look at that lower jaw forming!! Awesome!!! I used to be a bourbon drinker, on the rock Jim Beam Black!! Good as it gets, unless they got the Crown Royal bottle open, whew.
