  1. Fridge is gone.... Oven and dehydrator are still available... Make an offer
  2. Great job! It is very easy to take hunting from a treestand or walking into the field for granted...
  3. We'll done.... Were they moving much with the heat? First hour and last hour?
  4. Did you guys notice there was a phone number in the listing... You are probably better off calling since this was the sellers first post and who knows when he will be back!
  5. There is a guy on 31 just east of Washington, on south side of road that has a sign out. Never used him but see a lot of activity there every year
  6. Wow does that look great!
  7. Very nice! What did it score?
  8. Thanks for the entertainment over the past week (and season)... I enjoy the reports pictures and videos.. You provide a great service to those of us that don't have the opportunity to get on the lake as much as we would like.
  9. Did you get a length measurement on the smallmouth? Just curious... I always said I would get one mounted if it was 22 inches or better.. 21.5 is the best I ever got. I would expect the one you got was way beyond 22... Great fish!!

    How old?

Got this one on video in the same spot... Another good looking young deer. Not sure if they are part of the same bachelor group or not... I am going to try to keep my eye on them... I have more food plots planted than ever before (about 8 acres) and 118 acres for them to roam (50% of which is pretty thick and nasty), so hoping that if I let them pass, they will stay "safe". http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jZ6i8yMf-V0

    How old?

Checked the cameras today and got this guy.. Not the biggest one out there, but when I started looking closer, I noticed 2 things (I think)..... First off, I am thinking this is a very young deer ( year and a half). It is very narrow in the chest and has a pointy face. Second thing I noticed was the size of the bases. Obviously still in velvet, but if this is a year and a half deer, I think he can be a real stud in a couple years. What do you think? Year and a half?
  12. For me I just like the afternoon/evening better because I feel like the bite is going to get better as the day progresses. It is the same way with hunting. Given the choice I will always take an afternoon sit over morning (hands down and especially during the first week of november). Part of it is psychological because again it just seems like things are going to get better as the day goes on, but I think the other part is that because your head is more into it, you pay more attention to detail. Whether it is keeping your trolling speed in the "range" or picking that spot on that big buck and staying focused, the details are the difference between huge and marginal success... That is the way I look at it...
  13. Just out of curiosity when will you be there. I will be there 10/25 to 10/29. A friend that has a house down there has set up 2 days of fishing for us... I can't wait... Never been there before..
  14. It is a double edged sword.. You can not beat the companionship of a good dog, but it makes it that much harder to say good bye.. I hope you get some comfort in the great memories that you made together... I am going to give my English Springer Cooper an extra hug and some extra attention tonight.. My thought and prayers are with you and your family!!!
  15. Salmonite, Can you provide the "recipe", so we know how much of each ingredient?
  16. Maybe the dirt bag won't realize he has green paint on his vechicle.. I will keep an eye out when I am down there.... Some people don't belong in this world!

    channel cats

We used to get a lot of decent sized cats in chippewa bay... It seemed like they would move out of the deeper water during the last couple hours of the day.. When they showed it wasn't one or 2, they seemed to come in schools. Made for some really good catching... There was also a spot we used to fish near Alexandria Bay. There was specific channel marker (I want to say it was #183, but it has been a while). it was deep water, 60 to 80 feet, but we used to get some really nice smallmouth and perch there... Ever once in a while we would get a BIG cat.. Never kept them or officially weighed them, but they were big and a great fight.
