200# spectra on one side 5 years still going, may replace this spring.
250# mono on starboard, 3 years still going
Used Dacron in the past, lasted about 3 years.
I recommend the Abu Garcia 7000 series, the line counters are great and the IC3 has a fantastic drag. These are the only reels that I have purchased in the last 10 years that last more than 2 seasons. Buy a cheap rod spend the long dollar on the reel!
Cannon mag 10 for sale, this is an aluminum body mag 10, long boom (48") with aluminum base.
$200.00
You may pick up at LOTSA show on Sunday at noon.

If you don't mind driving 20 mile north.

Capt. Joe Saba.
I fished with him last year and will be fishing again with him on April 2.
He fishes hard and will do what is needed to catch fish.

From my limited experience, I have found that it is not only helpful to be high, but also to be wide. I use 8' fence poles set on a 45 deg. Angle so with the beam of my boat there is about 18' between the pulleys. This reduces the chance of the line ever contacting other fishing gear in the boat. I estimate the pulleys are about 7' off the water.
Remember the higher your line the higher your lures will run.......
Tim,
When the offshore fish are below 50', I will run it all day long. Really shines from 80 - 100' down.
First thing in the morning for staging kings.
It is the only spoon I run when fishing the wall for late season kings.
Not a good brown trout lure for me.
I would like to see a coversation about a license that charter boats could buy that would cover all customers on the boat. Say all captains buy a boat fishing license for $500 - $1000 to cover all clients. This would remove a big headache for tourists and captains.
There are lots of one hit wonders but from my limited experience the most effective for me the last 5 years has been:
Moonshine Carbon 14
Full disclosure: I am on the pro-staff for Moonshine and am so confident in them that I use only their spoons!
You may want to try running your rigger spoons (leads) as close as 6' (stern) and out to 40' (sides) this keeps them out of the way of board fish when netting,
