The surface speed issue stopped me from a purchase . Good product and nice people but they blew the intro on the X4D IMHO . I think it never pays to jump on a new product to soon .
The Cisco look like the same motor but the price is more friendly and the motors have a locking ring on the drive shaft and a super sealed wrap on the motor body . Made in USA .
Chase you are welcome to come aboard anytime and crank in my long coppers and a 150 ft of line and double keel boards . Don't laugh but when you get my age you look for any break you can get .
Hey Tim bought the Cisco motors on your advice guess what they are the same size as the BigJon pro motors but they do have a lower gear ratio and cost a bit less. With the Big Jon price increases the Cisco product is competitive at the moment .
I totally agree Fish Hawk always was pricey but generally good product I fished a 800 for years I think I paid $600 for it in the eighties . I like the fact that the Sub Troll is a local product not enough of that happening today.
What's your preference paddles or spin doctors 8" or 11" twinkies or clean . Whole bait or strips,Rockets ? I have my go to sets just wondering what most prefer.
Thanks cap ace that's the info I was looking for got two 600lc and rollers ready to go. I don't like or use mag divers but should I nix the mag rings on the standard divers with your numbers it looks like I don't need them ?
I keep a spool with #250 power pro on the boat and change up my centre BJ Brute with it when fishing deep with a #20lb Shark it makes fishing that weight much easier and less prone to snapping off . Other then that I see no real advantage like Yankee stated no advantage fishing shallow with the #250 anyways can't speak about the lighter braid ? As to strength it is tough but don't knick it the stuff is not forgiving.
Not new to wire and not a big fan of mag divers . Looking to fish mag glow spoons deep and outside I have heard of Oswego fishers using standard divers with mag rings and 20lb wire with some success with this approach. Adding a couple more wires to the arsenal is no big deal to me but the one drawback is my wife has learned to count.
I run 30LB wire on my divers my question is I have two 20LB set-ups rigged this year how much more depth can I expect to achieve over the 30LB . I run big rings on my divers. Maybe some deep water East end fishers could chime in here. looking for info from guys that have or are running 20lb. Thanks in advance.
HP I have three transducers mounted on the transom already and none of them work well at speed . Don't want to drill a hole through the hull that's why I inquired about the Airmar 79 and lakebound and kayaker have had good results with the in hull 79 I am going that route . Thanks for the replys .
