  1. Loose rivet may be higher than what you were able to fill in the driveway but lower than your water line. I had a rivet that was in line with a bunk that didn’t leak on the trailer due to weight. Also could be a drain line. Cork all drains and live wells from outside and put in water. Might tell something different. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. The site looks to be for just walleye. Do you have to special order salmon mags? The site doesn’t show them. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. Ive noticed the UV with tape like the Alewives paint seem to hold up well. The hammered painted spoons, forget it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  8. I agree with the “not connecting” your release to the tail of the weight for reasons mentioned. May get away with it but I think you add to the swaying or veering off of the tracking. Do a test in your driveway. Connect a rod to the tail of the weight using a release. Tighten the line up. Then using a blacks or an inline release above the weight. Tighten the line up. See which one affects the direction. Which one would you prefer? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  10. Got it. Shouldn’t be the issue then with the pulley. The older style caused a bend when you stored it for travel if you tightened it up too much. The snubber is the way to go as mentioned. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Newer style with new pulley design or old style Mag 10? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. For those fly’s get some BUGG spray. Only thing that seems to work for me. Or wear pants in 100 degrees. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Yes, nice going John. Glad your getting out there dialing them in. Took your advice. 250ft seem to be the key. Paddle w bait was our hero tonight. Always nice to see that Mikey smile Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  18. Yea, I don’t think he’s gonna chance taking the head off, scales would be the next best thing right? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Hopefully they took some scales to help determine age. Look like tree rings under the microscope. Will tell a lot of history in that fishes life time. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  21. Agreed as well! And for what it’s worth, like mentioned, the volunteer piece must not go unnoticed. The part that really bothers me is the fact an opportunity to see what’s coming from the lake, whether bad or good, is missed by DEC? Show support, get in the game, let people know what your doing about it. You had an audience. To me it’s the most important time to educate and support. 22. I hear what your saying in regards to disputes like “where was that fish caught” or “was it illegally caught “ etc. your right, they will not get involved in any disputes. What they always did however was ID every fish that hit the length board prior to weighing them. Never ever have I heard DEC say “I’m not sure what that fish is, oh well leave it to the fisherman to make the call”......... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. I would agree Brian, I would of been chapped only to find out there was no weighing if staying or ran the boat to the marina. Heck it seemed nobody knew it right until sat am. Why is that? Still waiting to hear the reason for that and the lack of Dec representation. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. That family has an incredible derby history. Probably the most wins in the history of it. Pretty much always on the board. They have techniques for silvers that are truly amazing and ever changing to the lakes fishery. Great fish. Congrats to them. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
