  1. Worked for a guy that had a culture of do what your good at. If it’s fishing, be a charter guide, if it’s cooking, run a diner. You’ll be most successful doing what you do best. “Bill Davidson” Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  5. Make sure batteries are good, if boat is out of the water, you can test the probe by wetting your fingers and touch probes, place it under your transducer and if it’s working you should read a readout on the temp and speed. If you have a buddy with one you can try swapping probes or head units to rule out which one is the issue. Like mentioned, contact FH and they’ll have you do some quick tests prior to sending the units in. They are great for customer service. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

  8. Brian, have you tried throwing slugs down the smooth bore? I got a rem jr 20ga for my now oldest with my youngest using it now, he’s 12, was amazed how accurate the thing was at 50yds with just the bead sight. Might be better off investing in that 12ga for him? they grow so quickly. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  10. I wouldn’t worry just yet. It seems everything is still new and their trying to figure things out. No reason why they wouldn’t include it in the youth hunt. If you do get some info though post it, I’ll do the same. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. I’ll be honest, when I had some needs for my Tohatsu and was asked where I bought it, I got a 5 min lecture from a business up on Irondequoit who services them because it was from an online dealer. Needless to say I ended up at a marina by honeoye lake. If I’m not mistaken though any merc shop would work on them. Barrett’s in Geneva works on Mercs. Seagars in Canadaquia I think works on Honda’s. Not sure if this is your area or not. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  18. I believe it was a lifetime on parts and workmanship. I had to purchase a new VRO for mine to be accepted. Did mine about 8 yrs or so ago. I would do it again if I ever needed to. If I remember right everything replaced was HD forged pistons etc. just another option for ya is all. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Agreed. They also in the past, performed electro shocking studies in Irondequoit back in the late 80”s with high success rates. I’d be surprised if it’s changed that much where the ecosystem wouldn’t still be favorable location. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. If you decide to rebuild and for considerably less, take a look at these guys. http://www.tenkillermarine.com/powerhead. There out in OK. Easy process to be dead honest. Use a local shop to take head off. Take off the electrical stuff. Bolt to a piece of plywood and ship it. Two weeks or so later you have a new power head. Have the same shop put it back together. Saved me a ton and less headaches. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

  22. The mustang inflates off water psi not adsorption. One of the reasons as to why I went with it. Read some reviews of some getting theirs wet and prematurely inflating. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Yes, Mustang. Somewhat pricey. BassPro had a sale so not bad. Got a headache looking at all of the different ones lol. Durable, tough and hope it never needs to inflate. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
