  1. Nice! From the looks of that orange stinger, she’s caught a few fish! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. I’ve got Traxtech. Pricey, but solid as a rock, use with dipseys or boards etc. had to send back to get re-adjusted. Hard time swiveling out and in. Think they put the heavier spring in for a 4 tree vs 2 tree. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  3. When some are paying 10.-20.00 for a small piece of antler for their dogs as a chew treat you really start going hhmmmm....... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. To be honest, it wasn’t even a thing back then or I was too young and stupid to know the dangers of it. Warm water discharge does a lot of positive things for the fishery. Now, with that said, what’s in that outflow and the changes it could make going from high to low etc can be devastating. There are numerous heated outflows in out fisheries that make for some outstanding fishing. I’d want to know the details. It’s not to comforting with what Les pointed out with where this is originating from. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. I’m not sure what the temp difference is from when it was in operation with coal in the 80’s and 90’s but I will tell you it was a fisherman’s paradise both in the stream and the mouth into the lake during fall, winter, spring. The days when there were 100’s of boats fishing off the mouth was an insane sight. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. You’ll enjoy this group bt chaser, nice rig and beautiful fish! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Here’s what’s in the regs: key is that your targeting fish during closed season Closed season restriction A person may not fish for a species (even if immediately released) during the closed season for that species on a given water. Fish caught during the closed season must be unhooked and released immediately. They may not be handled for any other purpose. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I had all I can do not to go for perch. Spoke to Signalman, didn’t sound to pleasing just yet. I think he was eating a perch dinner when I called him lol. Glad you got her out and ready to go. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Well, I had a day I could get her out seeing she’s been cooped up in the garage since last August. Hooked up with RB and made a go of it. Appreciate all of the posts to help decide on a launch that would work out with out losing my wheels off a ramp. Been there done that. Typical shakedown stuff but we headed out not really knowing what to expect. Mud. Ugg. So we went east for a bit and thought let’s turn and go back West. Ever feel like you made the biggest mistake of the day? Went west of the river for a couple of miles and still mud inside. Call a life line, good ole Whaler made me feel a little better. So we picked up ran west to Braddocks. Started seeing a break. All in all was a nice day to get out. Good times. Wish we went east lol. Think we saw three boats west of the river. Boy is the lake low.... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  17. Thanks 58J I’m sure there’s a lot of behind the scenes needed to get me to feel good about the bottom track but agree, those options are very cool. Fox has me ready to go out and get a couple! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. It’s a little bit different than watching your graph and pulling it in at depths of 150-200ft when you hit bottom..... I stepped into this conversation trying to possibly learn if this new downrigger would be a game changer and good investment for me. I’ll wait I guess for that post. 19. I guess what I was thinking was using your FH on the other downrigger not the bottom track downrigger. That way your offset would be spot on to the actual swing your seeing due to the speed. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Just wondering, if you had the fish hawk 4xd to set your depth offset so you would be as accurate as could be with actual ball depth? Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  21. Anyone looking to get into Fingerlakes fishing or stock up for the Seneca return would want these. This is a great deal Rod Hog. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  22. You can also try fatheads with a high hook and sinker and cast to off the drop off and reel slowly up it, may get into some nice perch. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
