  2. Seems like a cool idea, at least to give you an option of getting rods out of the way. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  3. You feel that it’s pretty sturdy? Are you able to slip the cover on with it attached? Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  4. Thanks Pappy. Tried to sneak up there tonight. Met with NE winds with a storm brewing out of nowhere. Guess I’ll have to give it another shot Sunday. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  6. 200-220 down 120ft did well last evening. West of Sodus. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  7. See any difference from a 38lb ? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Pictures are always tough to judge. If you base the length on the rod holder which is a 10-12 inch tube I think you might have a 36-38 inch fish. Nice fish for her. But 40+ pounds with her size and ease of holding it’s less. Just an opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Things seem to get awful quiet when you confront stupidity. I’ll take the course, be a good refresher, but one thing seems to escape some is common sense. Treat it as your motorcycle, trust no ones actions. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I can’t for the life of me remember the size, my kid loves it though. If I get a chance I’ll look to see if the size is on it. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

  12. Stay away from the inland waters or stagnant areas and I think you’ll be fine. Was down near the park on the north end and things looked ok. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Hence the old stories of getting “stung” by a bull head when you were a kid. It is really just the slime with bacteria getting in your system if you were ever poked. I remember once having a heck of a time with my hand after perch fishing. In 20 years we’ll all be suited up in rubber suits so we don’t get poked and bit lol Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. I think they would take two wine glasses, pour the citronella out, drink it while having a candlelight dinner on your ankles. Honestly though I’d be careful of an open flame out on the water. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  15. Has anyone ever tried one of those stable fly traps “sticky” types? It seems they have them specifically for these monsters. Was thinking of hanging one of a downrigger or something. In addition to the spray. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Good to see you out there today Brian, that stuff happens. Must of been a full moon, we broke off three fish as well.... blamed my youngest lol couldn’t of been me I told him.... same for us, aka signalman and my youngest looked forward to a change from LO. Slow starting out on the west side. Once we got over to the east side it was steady pickings. Evil eyes on the riggers did the damage with some brutes on the dipsey flasher flys. And even the googlie eye fly made the board! All in all even with the fleas it was a fun day. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. Mean buggers. Only thing other than long pants that seems to work is a spray called Buggspray. My order should be in Monday! Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

  25. Years ago there was some third party testing reported in Sports Afield that did the entire fish, filleted fish w/ no skin, vegetables / lettuce from grocery store. Those results indicated that the food from the store has higher concentrations of toxins than the fillets. I think the suggestions as mentioned are spot on, younger fish, fillet them, no skin you’ll live to fish another day. I personally will take the McNugget over the salmon but perch never lol Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
