  2. Well I appreciate everyone’s response and suggestion. Decided on the Traxstech trees. Walleye tackle store had a really good price. Great customer service. Can’t wait to get them on. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. I think this is a great report however the stream side of it should be revisited. If someone posted this info individually and named the trib they would be getting a slew of feedback. It does seem to violate the policy on here I think but maybe I’m missing something? Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  4. I’ll look on the bench, I might I still have one from ancient ones I USED to have lol. Heck, with a new x4d you might as well upgrade ....... Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

  9. Thanks for the tips guys. I’ve noticed that there’s a model that High Seas puts out that has the bottom tube more horizontal to the water for dipseys. Seems to be practical. Any issues running dipseys on yours? Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  10. Great show, hats off to FL Trollers Assoc. Always enjoy meeting / seeing new and old LOU friends at the event. Gets you pumped for spring. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  11. Anyone have a suggestion on a best rod tree brand setup that’s worked well, price is ok and the quality is good. High seas looks to be ok, but there is plenty of types out there. Just looking for some thoughts. Sea Nymph GLS is the boat. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. I have some 12lb and 10lb weights with holders with me. Pm me if interested. I’d rather not ship. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Yep and as mentioned would be highly IMO useless due to trajectory at different yardage’s including the fact that an arrows tip at full draw may not be hitting in a spot your aiming at once released. Just would seem to me to be a headache to try and sight in a bow but sales is sales I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. Lol thought I’d get a chuckle, looking forward to getting down there Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  15. Some of the “Northerners” are going to meet at the Denny’s in G town prior to then go down. Rumor has it Sk8man is getting us in 1/2 hr before it opens 🤫 Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. If you can afford, get the X4D. Was amazed at the difference I was seeing on true depth vs depthfinder readings, cone on the depthfinders can’t distinguish the cable swing. I was hitting 10ft plus difference. If you can’t afford, X4 is better than nothing. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  17. +2. Why put your trip in a worry state, bring the motor like you always do, focus on having a good time! Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Sure now you tell me Les, I went in to produce at Wegmans and have been chewing the root all morning. I feel sick lol. Honestly I’ve had the feeling, as others will say, don’t wish it on your worst enemy. Anything > 3ft on Ontario I’m the driver. Seneca can be a 20mph south and I’m fine. 19. You could get a few of those back seat sun screens with suction cups that are used in vehicles. I’ve seen those used in boat windows. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. Oh no, look out, I think in the rules sheet it said somewhere no spin n glows can be used...... lol, honestly it would be cool Brian. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Well said Les, change is good as well and who knows, the new area at Stivers for the ceremony might be 10 times more conducive in bringing the derby group together as a whole thus starting a richer culture for future derbies. Always thought of seeing the ceremony as a celebration vs get your award and that’s it. As far as fishing, yep it gets frustrating no doubt, change in tactics will be in order for many. Like you said, someone will catch the largest fish and take home a chunk of change. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  22. Check Roy’s marina. West side 3 miles south of Geneva. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  24. Ditto on marking the sides when putting the floor down. I replaced mine from a local machine shop as I didn’t want the holes from the back two seats there as I never used them. I don’t recall the gauge but it seemed as thick as the transom skin. .100 ? I repoured the foam making sure it was even with the brace. Used a spray epoxy for the nautilex floor cover for each sheet. Drilled and pop riveted it with a wide flange rivet across each support evenly spaced. Your doing great with this project. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  25. My mercury 8hp charges two batteries while I troll, 4 electric cannons, depth finder, vhf, radio (motleycrew),lights, fish hawk, and auto pilot. I get home, plug the onboard charger in, fully charged in minutes. Have had the same batteries now 5yrs. For whatever it’s worth. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
