  4. You forgot one thing though Les, if your too lazy and don't change the lb test from Seneca to LO you might tend to lose a good lure .......... In my case uggggg Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. Agree good point Les, the only other odd feature to give it a possible sickly fish or hybrids is the eye. Seems rather out of place for the chinook, they tend to be smaller not like the typical trout eye. The other feature you mentioned Les were the anal rays. Would of been interested in how many there were. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  6. What a story! I too think we went right passed them Sunday setting up. What a gorgeous lake though. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  7. Here's a simple yes or no process flow to determine the species..... 1. Mike has probably caught more fish on the finger lakes than 75% of the LOU members that fish them - yes. Proceed to question 2. - No. Rethink question 1 and resubmit answer. 2. Mike will pull out another FLT 1st place soon on a finger lake tournament. - yes. Proceed to question 3. - No. Honestly? Try again. 3. Mike could probably close his eyes and tell the difference between a rainbow and a chinook while we couldn't even tell it's a trout or salmon. - yes. Proceed to final point -no. I know that was out there........ Final Point. All in fun. I think Iron Duke caught something that was cool and glad like you said Mike it's still out there. 13. Thanks Les, also had a buddy I've not fished with in like 25 yrs so that was cool too. Got to get some more Ben. That's about the depth we were in as well. Thanks for getting back to me. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. Thanks for the post Ben. That blue bank breaker from FLT made its way to Davey Jones locker as well. We had a slam that took the leader on a dipsey. 2-5 with son landing a nice bow. How deep were you this morning. I think we past you on the way in. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  16. Below is from the NYS regs. Might worth a pic shot of registration numbers and a call to Coast Guard or Sheriffs for future. It's not about Etiquette at that point, it's about the endangerment for ones safety as Mike mentioned. -Speed In New York State, vessel speed is generally limited to 5 mph when within 100 feet of the shore, a dock, pier, raft, float, or anchored boat. Reckless operation of a boat can be a violation or misdemeanor. Opera- tors are required to operate a boat in a careful and prudent manner in such a way as not to interfere with the free and proper use of the navigable waters or endanger any boat or person. Reckless operation may be the result of operator ignorance, inattention, indifference or carelessness. Some examples of reckless operation include: • Operating at high speed in a congested area or in restricted visibility • Following another boat too closely • Operating too closely to swimmers or divers • Operating near dams 40) Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  21. Masie, from what little I know Tom is right typically they are higher, but I've also heard it's important that they are close like within 5% of each other. I'm assuming it has a lot of hours on the motor? Might be time for rings etc, but like what was suggested, someone else might have some suggestions Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  22. Dual pro. Bass pro No problem. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. Trorun, there's been some dialogue a while back about all batteries being made by one manufacturer, labeled with different names. I went with I think ever start from Walmart like 4 yrs ago, never really had much luck keeping them good until 4 yrs ago. Big difference, on board charger, plug it in when I get the boat home, keep it plugged until I'm ready, and during the winter. Batteries have been as good as new. For what it's worth. 25. Thanks Les for the update. I think from all of us were glad hes ok, and with the work that sounds like needs to be done, I wouldn't want him to rush it, that's one nice rig, and I know its going to be a struggle not to be out in it while its getting worked on, as signalman offered and as others including me, if Im out and you would like to get out Ed, your more than welcome.
