  1. Man that's rocking guys. Thanks for the reports and info. Did you guys happen to mark many fish during the morning? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. Yes to the last question. Only thing that should be grounded is motor Everything else should go back to neg side of battery. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. Bad news, as everyone has said. Lights neg should be to the battery neg and pos to pos side of battery with fuse. Went through some thing similar, creates a hot boat and that galvanic reaction is bad as well. What I found out by going through it is the only thing that is grounded is the motor which in simple terms is from the negative side of the battery to your block, this for an outboard, I would think it would be the same for an I/O. If you want to see how much is going through your boat out put an ohm meter to see, neg on your neg side of your battery, touch the positive to your boats metal. Start turning things on that are electrical. You'll start seeing how your boat lights up. Literally. Oh, yea, forgot, forget trying to catch fish...... Not fun at all. Hope this helps. 4. I got the ITO rigs and came with a snap on the leader. I'll have to measure the length. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. Do you guys just attach the Twinkie rig with the head right to the paddle or tie an additional leader length? It seemed short when I ran it last. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. Steve, I went through some projects the last two years one being transom replacement and floor. It's time consuming but in the end I'm glad I did it and not someone else. The transom as mentioned would probably be the toughest, but if you have access to the back skin, meaning no splash well, it's a piece of cake. Mine was totally shot. Toughest part would be the wood part, resin and epoxy stuff that I'm not really that knowledgable with if you go that route. I went with a pour cast with mine. My only suggestion would be is to not wait till winter unless you have access to a heated garage or work shop. I did mine in February, which having a salamander in the doorway of my house and a kerosene heater to try and get my garage to 70 degrees ugggg. Not fun. Working with resins in warmer atmospher is easier to work with. My floor was replacing the aluminûm and gluing vinyl Nautalex. Happy to help. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

  9. 2nd the pvc material. Redid mine, a total of 7 boards. Ripped on table saw to size. Order vinyl online three colors. Wrapped over foam, electric stapler, center strip cover screws. Saved 1700.00 for the project. Cost me 150.00 for materials. Piece of cake. Was more mental than the actual job. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. You got some great tips there from Les. Once you get the feel of jerking copper, you'll be able to tell when you get a zebra or weed on the hook 70 ft of water. I would even suggest using a twin minnow first. Someone already mentioned them but are a blast and easy to get the feel. Take 30lb leader minimum maybe 36-50 inches long. Tie one end to the twin minnow, no snap. Tie the other end of the leader to a bead chain, then tie your copper with a twist to that. Speed 1.5 to 1.7 no faster. Slower the better. Let out a 150-200 ft in 40 ft of water, just a guess but will get you close. More for deeper. Every few feet hold the copper with your hand and wait till you feel sharp ticks. This is your minnow hitting the bottom. This is what you want to feel, if it stops, let a little more out. Jerk every now and then to keep it clean. If it feels heavy like your dragging bottom you got too much out. Keep your bottom depth constant at first so you can make it easy for yourself. Once you get comfortable the depth changes are easier to manage. Just hang on, you'll know when one hits, hand over hand bring him in, if it's bottom, you'll know that quickly, don't try and hold on, you'll stretch it and break it or weaken it. Do this stuff first, then trying the jerking copper with Pfleugars will be a piece of cake. Let us know how you do. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

  16. Went out to treat dad for his 75th birthday 3:30 - 6pm. , seemed 215-230 was the spot. 40-50 down 45 degrees, moonshine ratchet jaw, Mongolian beef, Fingerlakes UV (not sure of the name) big eye on it, glow ladder, whitish green. Lost it on a fish so I have to find out. 1st Altlantic for Bman, ended 5-6. 3 kings, 1 laker, atlantic. The fog was an awesome sight, lifted an hour in. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
