Sold / Closed 1998 Wellcraft Coastal 210 with 2003 Evinrude 150

Nice looking boat. I bet that was a great deal. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United -
I purchased a Barnett ( Buck Commander) a few years ago to hunt in Ohio with for less than 400.00 all rigged with scope and bolts, thought it was a good deal, shot flawless, however....... I wasn't smart enough to figure out prior to getting it how much it weighed and how hard and cumbersome it was to carry in and out of the woods. I would find out the weight, how it feels when holding it upright ( mine is heavy as hell), and how does it carry with a sling...... Not sure if you can stay less than 500 for those accomidations but man if I had to buy another one, those are the things I would be looking for.

Out of all of this I feel sorry for the Pats fans, Im glad its not the Steelers, Id hate to have to sit there and explain " Oh it didn't have anything to do with them winning the game" Man to keep hearing that song and dance......... We have rules for a reason. If it didn't have anything to do with them winning, then throw the rule out, start deflating balls, oh wait, theres an advantage? We need to keep the rule now? Then toss the win to Indy. Funny a local HS team was DQd for a sectional semi ? Aquinas, I think for not following the rules........ So let me see, Option A - Lose in playoffs / Win nothing or Option B - Win playoffs / pay 500K fine / 250K team fine / lose a draft pick - all if your caught / But go to the Super bowl and make millions from it?????? hhhmmmmmm.

Largest Pike this winter?

Rusty, Im sure there are going to some additional tips from members, one thing ive seen during winter months is to know what species are you going after, bows/ salmon or lakers. If its the bows or LL or lets say top water fish, I think your going to need to target warm water or a flow that comes into the lake, over by Deans Im not sure what there is. You've got some areas around there but could be far for a 14ft in the winter. (PFD's remember) Sometimes a sandy little bay that gets warmed up by the sun is a good spot. If its the lakers, your going to have to possibly go deep and near the bottom. Flashers or cow bells rigged with a peanut or spoon can be deadly at this time. Speed for the lakers is going to be slower, 1.2 -1.8 mph, if your going after the bows, faster is needed, 2.2-2.5 if not faster sometimes. Weave in and out of the shallows to deep water. Also wouldn't want to miss the speech about light line for flat lining and the need for fluorocarbon. 6-8lb leader I think is a must right about now with how clear things are. Stay with the smaller stick baits different color variations, youll get one to hit.

Just wanted to add and you may already have it but you might want confirm the boaters certificate when operating a vessel. I'm thinking a captain might want you to have that especially if you have your own. You can do a quick search on nys boating regs to help you out. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

My update was from Bass Pro' tonight actually, when you call Bass Pro they direct you to Tracker for pricing. And yes, it was a manual 20 inch 8hp 4 stroke. Sold / Closed 2011 Mercury 9.9 ELH long shaft
Frogger replied to dukhnter8's topic in Boats for Sale
Just an update on the Mercury pricing, I read that the long shaft was on sale at Bass Pro for 1200.00. That was one heck of a price, today's current price at Tracker who supplies all of the locations quoted me 2125.00 plus tax (170.00) for an 8hp manual 20 inch. That's over 1k difference, what a sale that must of been. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United -

Chas, I agree with the Arneys suggestion as well. Plus I don't think you would get your boat in at Warrens.
