All good stuff, with jumping on the band wagon for the thinner Flouro line ( not Vansish lol)and trying to get the dipseys deeper with longer leads to the spoons. One thing, not sure if this had been mentioned already, is the speed, you might want to try a little slower with lighter type spoons for the deep fish (lakers) like 1.8 -2.2 and faster type (heavier) spoons 2.2 -3.0 for the faster speeds (Bows and locks). Currents are all over with Seneca and as suggested weaving in and out or changing it up going east and west might indicate a better catch rate. And one other thing, we have all heard it before, dont leave fish to catch fish, if your marking them, stay close, something should trigger. Then again we have all had those days where ya feel like golfing.....
GiZ9219,
Not sure if you have the updated regs, but what I know based on the latest and greatest is that you can use a crossbow in the Southern Zone Nov 1st-14th (must posess a muzzeloader stamp) Northern Zone is Oct 15th-24th which I think includes 7 day early Muzzle. Heres the link http://www.eregulations.com/newyork/hunting/deer-hunting-seasons/ The other stuff regarding deer management practices is a whole other conversation that Ill stay out of.
Les, your correct from my understanding as well. Interesting note, not sure if this is still the practice or not, when they measure a sample or "fish", the whole fish is used for the sample. If you were to take that same fish, (in most bodies of NY waters) I wouldn't include Onandaga, and just use a fillet with no belly fat or skin, it would be cleaner than a head of lettuce at wegmans. The dept of health can not just use that information as most parts of the fish in some cultures are edible so they have to use the entire fish as the sample. My theory on the selling of trout / gamefish was the state didn't want the fisheries to be removed for a sale whe they just spent tax payers money putting them there...... Or sustaining it.....

Anyone looking to upgrade their steering to hydraulic for an upcoming winter project, I have a Baystar HC4645H system to sell. Fits my Evinrude but will also fit Mercury and Yamaha up to 150 hp. Visit www.seastarsolutions.com/products/hydraulic-new/outboard-new/baystar/ for more details on the system. Purchased Spring of 2014 and then decided against auto pilot. PM for more information.
Nick, Fingerlakes wine trail would be a good visit as well, I hear Keuka is good, Seneca has many different varieties etc. If you do decide to head south, I could give you a wine trail map for a Pocahontas fly........lol

Well we said we were going to go after them shallow today, guess we needed to be deep. Spoke to Admiral out there who is crushing them. Almost made me do a U turn on 104 when he told me.
