Have had it, remember it like it was yesterday, going out of Cape Canaveral after Hurricane Andrew, Summer of 92' Would wish it on my worst enemy..... With that being said, you have to be very careful if you expect to see them back. You might just be the only one at dock the next morning. Tournaments however different story, game on.

Jay, if ur at the north end you can dock at the Ramada (new docks just north side of long pier) and either eat there at the restaurant at the hotel or go from there and walk to pub type eateries like Eddie obriens and such downtown geneva. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

2015 LOTSA Salmon School Announcement
Frogger replied to Tim Bromund's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Tim, cant wait, I know its early in the year still, didnt hear if the pre fishing the day before was a success, from a planning standpoint, what are the odds that the river fishing the day before might still happen? -
I always like what Les suggests and what everyone else has suggested. Along with those flasher flys for lakers, don't hesitate to keep to the lighter side with some flutters. (Suttons, evil eyes, FLT spoons). The reports on Land Locks has been crazy. And if all else fails, grab the rod with a 1oz white fluke and enjoy jigging. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

Hats off to you jammin, that's a heck of a fish! Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United -
Chuck, do you have a buddy with a fish hawk? If so try using your head unit with his probe and vise versa to see if it's your trans. Might be an easy rule out. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

Anyone run an Fishhawk X 4 probe on the old 840 display?
Frogger replied to FLXTroutman's topic in Tackle and Techniques
No problem troutman, hope you make out. It took me a bit to feel the click noise( actually had to borrow signalmans) to test but once you get the feel of it you easily get the sense of it going through the jaw. I know it's pricy but compare prices, you may want to, if you can get the whole deal with the new display as well and a new trans to boot. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United -

oh forgot, temps, most shots were on the 100 - 110 rigger which was 42 -45 degrees down there. Couldnt by a bite on the 80 - 70 ft riggers. Still working the chinook divers for depth. was running them at 230 thinking that they were 90 ft but when i dropped back to 300 it screamed so im thinking thats the depth I need to run them at but I may be wrong. -

Tom, it seems ive headed straight out most times, last time out, Sun night I was west more towards bear creek. Depths ive been hunting are 170 - 200, wanted to go out to 400 Sun night but got the itch and stopped at 250 to set up and never went out any further uggg. -
We'll not a stellar weekend for me, but all in all motor ran good from last weekends debacle with the fuel primer solenoid. Also able to fish with signalman sat am so had good company. We were only able to muster a couple of Small kings after a bunch of knockoffs on a FF black dot spin. Nice am to be out though. 7/20- Didn't wake up this am, that sucked but able to get out tonight for a quick trip. There were some highlights, managed to grab my port downrigger ball with the back one from a king that absolutely wanted to make a mess. Didn't lose anything, even the probe and netted the fish. Wanted to blame my driver but she's too cute. Was able to congratulate Dipsey Ranger on my way in, nice job placing in the pro am. Also a shout out to a gentleman (didn't catch his name) who nailed a 19 lb coho all by himself tonight. What a fish and great story. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

Anyone run an Fishhawk X 4 probe on the old 840 display?
Frogger replied to FLXTroutman's topic in Tackle and Techniques
I have, works with no issues if needed, but I have the newer display as my main. Heres a simple test that the guy from fish hawk had me do to see if my old probe was shot (or in other words was going to have to buy a new X4). Have a good 9 volt, make sure the light is blinking, put the flat round spot facing upwards on your jaw bone. You should feel a slight click vibration evry few seconds. This apparently denotes the probe sending the signal. If its not clicking, even though the red light is blinking, its shot. Hope this helps. -
Nice going. Always great to hear there's one less lamprey in the lake today! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
