Great story Les, so true, so true. Glad you got everything back. Don't feel too bad was dying all day to get up to up to the big lake with Jens parents to get them a king and I forget the what? My dipsey rods.......... With two of the 4 dr rods being for Seneca. Good thing I took the copper box out, we would of been jerking wire up there...... Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

Yea I agree Nick, an owner of a 24 ft 6000lb boat shouldn't need signs to tell him not drive that size of a boat on the trailers that aren't designed to or meant to but then again mines only a 19 ft 1500lb aluminum that has a trailer designed for driving onto. Almost sounds like a big boat little boat scenario. I do find it amusing though that we put signs up for things were supposed to do. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United -

Good to hear there getting the Kings started, wasnt able to get up there this weekend but hopefully this week I can make a trip up after work. Regarding the power loading bit, to be truthfully honest, if I didnt read it on here from an earlier in the month post not to power load on the trailer Ive would of done it too. There really should be some signs for whatever its worth. As far as doing it to be lazy? Well hence the term drive on trailers.... I guess i got it from growing up in a Ranger bass boat family. Anyway, I did get the year pass and love it up there, a bunch of good people up there. -
Lively, anything can be done. Like you said the ole timers use to do it the simple way but the trouble with oaring is you need someone to keep the copper moving (jerking). If it were me, and what you have currently to use, I would use the twin minnow / flat fish method so that you can hold on to it while your moving the boat along. It will also help you get down farther in depths as you move along. Youll have to keep a good pace though. Generally a tad faster with the twins than with Pluegar types but not that much. By the way, I didnt mention, dont try and roll the copper up when you get a fish on that reel. Its meant really to only hold it. Just pull in the copper and lay it on the floor without making too much of a mess. Once you get the fish off just put the copper back out. Once your done you can wind it back on the reel. Jason, Les has agreed to pay for all of the cost of the dies for the matching Pfleuger sets and named me as one of the testers to see how they roll. He may disagree but hes really saying yes he supports it.......
