  1. I drained my I/O this afternoon. I have an 89 mercruiser with a 5.7. I believe there are four plugs total, two on bottom and two above twords the top of the engine. Three out of the four plugs drained very well but the top starbird plug was pulled out and no water came out. What does this mean? Is it bad, is something inside plugged up? 7. I put my boat in the water today started it up and tried to turn on my lights and accessories. I have a battery selector switch that was on both position. When I started flipping switches I didn't get anything. So I checked to see if the terminals were tight and a few other things. After that I started turning the selector switch to different positions. The only the position that would keep all of my accessories on was the off position. Does anyone know what may be wrong? I was thinking the selector switch is the problem but wanted to get a few opinions. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  9. I have a mercruiser 5.7 liter 350. I thought last year I used an sae 30 weight oil. I bought some shell rotella this morning, got it home and realized it was heavy duty diesel oil. Is this ok or do I need something different? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  14. I have a 24ft penn yan contender 245! I jus bought otters and big Jon planer reels. I would like to know where on my hard top would be the best place to mount my secondary pulley. I thought that maybe four to six inches back from the very front of the hard top may be the best place. I got to thinking about it and think that it may be to far forward but then again I don't really know. I want to be sure of the best location before drilling the holes. Here is a picture to give you guys a rough idea what I'm working with. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  17. What is the best thing to use for cleaning my hull? It sat in the water all season and has the worst residue built up. I tried using bleach, toilet bowl cleaner and it won't even touch it. Also what is a good wax to use after I clean it? Thank you.
  18. What kind of reels do you guys like or recommend for your otter boards? Also how necessary is running a double keel?

  20. I wanted to post back during deer season but forgot. I was just curious about how the deer react to different types of weather. For example; how and what do they do with cold temperatures, wind, warm weather or snowy conditions? I have heard from people that during periods of low temperature the deer move around to keep warm. But let's say that there are high winds and a snow storm, wouldn't they be in a thick and heavily wooded area to be sheltered from the elements?
  21. Thanks!
  22. Bummpppppp! Any more info?
  23. People at arneys are great and very personable!
  24. Is there any way to use an I/O during the winter time if I strictly run off my kicker? For example is there a way to seal up my lower unit so no water gets inside?
  25. Why is it that when I hit my brakes the tail lights go out and I have no light to the tail lights? Once I let off the brakes the tail lights come on again. Thanks in advance,
