When you are running on your kicker do you leave your main motor in neutral or put it in gear? Just wondering beacause I heard once not sure if its true... But if your prop spins not under load it can lead to premature bearing failure. Not sure if this is true or just for trailering. Any input would be great

I have a 958C hd new to me it is a nice unit easy to use... Well kinda I still haven't figured out all the small tricks yet. As far as side imaging goes not sure. But Iam happy with my unit in general, I know its not exactly the same but I am convinced it has already caught me a few fish this year

What about anti siphoning check valves at the water sep filtter?

Checked all the fittings and clamped off the kicker line. Motor ran like a stud thanks everyone looks like an easy fix

So I hooked up my 200 hp yamaha ox66 and my T8 yamaha to the same fule tank. I ran the fule line into a water sep fule filtter then into individual primer balls then to the motors. I took it out for a small run the other day, ran the kicker for a bit then ran in. All was well then today I went fishing and ran the kicker for 6hrs ran great. Fired the main it ran well up on plane then started to sputter I backed it off and the ball was soft but it was runing smooth. So back to speed and the same thing started to sputter.... Any ideas what's up any help would be great.

So should I be worried about damage that may have been done? I know that its not ideal but it has already been shipped like that so do I need to be worried?

Its a panther bracket same as chas0218 I would think. I won't be driving around with it on just the delivery more then anything. Thanks for the info

Hi all I just had my boat delivered and it had a kicker bracket installed. In the directions it says not to trailer the boat with the motor on the bracket....well they did and I am wondering is this going to have caused any real damage? or is this just to cover the maucfatures butt if the motor fell off?

I tried to activate it today unsuccessfully but will take another try after I look more at the manual and see if I can find something. I'm not sure if this is the right card I bought it at the boat show and both the hummingbird and navionics rep did say that I should be able to get one foot conturs.

Next time I'm down at the boat I will check that out.

I just purchased this unit and with it the navionics platinum card. I down loaded the content on the internet and put the card in my unit today for a test and I don't have 1 foot contours!!! I am not sure why the sonar mapping isn't working am I missing something? Is there a setting I don't know about? Any tips would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Contact airmar directly send them some pics and any info on the transducer wire. I did this when I got my new boat and they were very helpful. It may take a week to get an inital response but they did get back to me.

I never hade a problem with the handle. You get use to it very quick and can find a resting position that works best for you and your boat.

I don't have a abu rigger reel but I do own 5 abu reels, and use my one bait caster in the spring on lake O and up north for lakers. I like all of the reels that I have from them and can only assune that they would build a quaility product. That said okuma makes a good rigger reel in many different modles I have 3 diffferent ones and they all work well. The catalina and the covector are a little nice then the magda pro and personally I don't like the cold water reels. I also have a rapala hydros reel that seems to be a very nice unit. Thanks dick. I was planning on useing a water sep filtter and the marina I am in has no ethonol fuel so hopefully all goes well.

What about a three way valve like on a motorcylce? Off/main line/resrve?

What caused your kicker to start sucking air? How did the T in the line cause this?

Its an outboard, no water sep on it but I could instal one if it will do the job.

If my tank doesn't have two sending units to run a seperate fule line to my kicker is there a way to t the main line and prevent any possible air from entering the system. Any help would be great. Or is there an option that I am not seeing? I don't want a small tank just for the kicker if that's possible.

There is a differance between the line and the leader material. I used the line for a bit to try and save a few bucks. Not worth it you will be much happier with the leader material. I personally use seagaur because it is easy to find and works very well.
