  1. Hit Taughannock at mid day. started out with two lead cores and a rigger with a cheater. The rigger starts pumping and I'm thinking there's a good one, nope both the 50' and the cheater have little salmon. Then boom three lines out and a quad!! Release all the little guys and reset and hit a real nice 4 1/2 lb LL. Trolled North and hit pockets of little guys ended up with two keeper size LL two Lakers on mag dipsy and a nice 19" Brown. Same lures as always purple alpha alewife, orange and gold small NK, I think anything would have worked today. One Laker had a huge 6"+ sculpin and his meat was a beautiful deep orange. If you can launch at the super shallow launch at Taughannock head North between 200-350' fun! Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  3. Easy way to calculate the line length would be to reel to the end of pole, reset your counter and pull line to the length of your pole a few times if you have an 8' pole you know that if you pull three times you should have 24' if its short by whatever length you can know that mathematically you can figure out how much more to let out. 4. I have a savage .17 that has a synthetic stock. It has a cheap scope and it is a woodchuck killing machine! It is extremely accurate out to 150-200 yds. The wind can affect the 17 grain bullet but that's if you are reaching out there. The shells are cheap and easy to get $15 per 50. I love the gun. If you are into lever action guns, Henry Rifles make a very nice .17. If I was sent out to survive with just one gun i would probably pick my .17 with 1000 rounds. 7. So I don't think that the lake source cooling is geo thermal but why spend millions on a perfect geo thermal source and not use it? Here is a pic of the pipe. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. I think its geo thermal so probably but I'm not sure, I will do some research n get back with my findings.. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  14. Deep and shallow. Five, seven, ten color lead core on inline boards small multi colored (gold n orange, purple alpha alewife fav...) spoons. Mag dipsy on wire 300' back with spinny and fly to pick up a few suspended Lakers. Seneca in the south end has been really tough on lots of guys this year, tons of bait, fish seem to be there but don't bite. There are a few favorite spots out deep on Cayuga I have this time of year but usually its just looking for those suspended fish and trying to get something in front of them. Also I noticed they (silvers) liked it a bit slower 2.4 yesterday. Good luck. Ps. Man I cannot believe the Pats, get all the calls and breaks.. cheaters, lol! 15. Seneca has been finicky this past year! Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Forgot to mention I saw many different duck species with a very pretty red head drake the highlight. He let me troll right up to him, wish I had a good camera. The evening had them flying everywhere, I'm not a duck hunter but it seems like they were abundant. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Don't know, but there was a thin layer at Taughannock( where the bubbler wasn't) most of that melted today, betcha it could be broken up. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Went out today hit west shoreline above Taughannock. Nice 19" LL in 70 fow to start, tons of small LL. One Brown that measured 14 1/2" lucky fish, he was fat! Found a few, very few suspended Lakers out in 385' got two of them to go, so fish for dinner this weekend, great day to get out. Hot lure was anything you threw at the little guys, switched over to larger spoons and that helped, they were still hitting but not taking hook deep. If I was going again tomorrow I'd head north of the boy scout camp and hit 200-300 fow that's where the bait and fish seemed to be up off bottom. Also lost three really nice fish two of which took serious drag! Dang! Plant was down today too. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Just a small amount of smoke coming out last time I was by it. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. I ran a five and seven color lead core on an inline and also caught Lakers down 110-130' there were a few spots I like this time of year, if you find bait deep there will be fish there, if some of the bait is up then yahtzee! Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. They were out deep also. I was able to find a few bigger LL out deep but the little guys were seemingly everywhere.. can't wait to get out again.. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
