  1. Check BTU output for your house size and make sure the pellets you buy are %100 hardwood. Mine needs a good clean out about every week and you are limited to the size hopper for time away from home. Mine gets about 14 hours out of 30lbs of pellets. If you get blended pellets they don't put out near the heat but may be just what you need for early in the fall or late spring. As for brand I don't have an opinion. 4. I have had a pair on my land for the past three years ( Tompkins co) just saw one a week ago near that area. They have decimated the squirrel population. Its great sitting in a stand and not hearing a chirping red squirrel! They haven't seemed to hurt my grouse population. Turkey's are down in numbers but I'm seeing a few broods in the ten to thirteen number, they will rebound. They leave a really cool track in the snow with their tail looking like a snake path. 13. Man Mike nicely done on the box, I did the same with glow early and the bite was very slow to start. We started on the North end and the fish seemed to have moved from the previous day. Ended up catching about a dozen Lakers and a nice smallie. Lost our first fish which I am sure was a silver and impressively ended up 13th with three Lakers totaling over 18 lbs. Twelve guys over 20lbs... man I gotta pick up my game... Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  17. Welcome Trevor, Cayuga is a beautiful lake, properties near or in Ithaca are expensive. The lake properties are a great investment and should never go down in value. If I were you I would research all the fingerlakes because each has a lot to offer. IMO the best fishing is on Seneca, Cayuga and Owasco. Not necessarily in that order. Seneca has the best wine trail and Ithaca has the most diversity. Owasco has the nicest small lake feel, if that makes sense. I used to sell real estate but do not anymore so this is just a fisherman's opinion.. good luck, the fishing is world class IMO... The wealth of info on fishing in this site is invaluable. Look back on older posts for the fingerlakes and you will learn a ton! Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. We took a float trip Saturday out of Taughannock the fish finder showed some nice potential small bait pods and some nice marks. 21. Sounds like you did well! Great job taking a youngun fishing! Running the slider with a FF on the bottom is tough when it comes in it wants to wrap up. I usually run one FF deep, no slider and a spoon with slider about 50-65 down on the other rigger, seems to cover the depth spectrum. ten color on an inline is also a hot setup for me.
