  3. Big fish of the year!!! Wow, FF bite or bow n arrow?? Corn colored fly? See those riggers bent over LMAO!!! Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. 75 on top, with the south wind not much change, about 50' down for thermocline, current runs with the wind south to North last few days. Fish I caught were not full of bait so bite has not been hot. Piss em off to bite or make em believe their dinner is being taken away from em. Cayuga, or any finger, this time of year can be slow, keep changing till they bite! Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. As you get towards Kidders, there are a few fingers that come out toward deep water, the bait is there and lots of fish, watch your lake contour if you have it on your GPS. If the bottom comes up I like to have it bounce bottom while turning out I pick up the rigger, fish on!! I run only one rigger deeper especially solo it's easier to manage. The other I run between 40-60 with a slider cheater. ( no worries on that hitting bottom) Those fingers are the key, the fish sit in those little valleys waiting to grab a bite going by. Go get em!! 8. Here's a pic of the fly color that was hot, kinda matches the color of the water. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. My spoon bite was almost non existent, the poor visibility was the reason, I think. FF, Spin doctor with bright, glow, fly was on fire, also I was going minimum 2.7 took 100' on rigger with 12 lb shark weight to bump bottom in 70'. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Awesome! Persistence. Persistence! That's a pretty chromer Les!! Nice kings too. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Cool post, the fishing was a bit slow until the sun poked through the clouds. You are headed to where I caught a bunch of piggy Lakers Thursday. 60-120' I bounced bottom to get em to fire! Good luck!! Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. The post on 9/3 Cayuga, I put up tells the story. Sheldrake, south is a great area, 60- 120' bounce bottom if no bites, ff with uv, glow flies. Spoons too.. Went up today to just float the middle ( didn't fish), fish were suspended down 90-110' under small pods. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. You must have some serious patience hunting in the ADK's. Do you try to find mast, any apples up there? I am blessed with some nice farm land to hunt here but I love chasing state land deer around my area. Key is their food source. I missed one of the biggest bucks I have ever shot at on state land a couple years back. I was just out trying to fill a doe tag and this big sway back gnarly ten strolled by, an unseen branch saved his life. Saw him one more time the day before opening gun. No one killed him.. he has a honey hole to hide in, and I believe his area shrinks every year he gets older. The guys that have 500 acres leased next to the state land have cameras every where not one photo of him.. cool to know those boys are out there... 18. Was a great day to be out, I must have seen you, there were only a few of us out today. The Lakers were all huge! I wanted a few for the grill but kept catching piggys and had to throw them back. Lots of Cormorants and gulls out today too. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  20. Yes, I had run into a 35' ledge, decided to pull in riggers and quit, the ten color had been dead all day when it buried and it fought really well. I had the same angry alewife on it with a lighter floro leader. Huge lamprey on him too. Not much for fleas. The lake was almost glass when I left. Thank you Bobby, Finger Lakes Tackle rules!! 22. Launched at Taughannock at 6:30. Headed North past boy scout camp. Tried a few different paddles and fly colors today. The fog took a long time to burn off and the water clarity was kinda light pea green. Figured glow might be easier for the fish to see. Rigger with glow dot and yellow green glow fly was on fire! Lots of big Lakers in the 6-9lb class. Caught 14 before 9:30. Trick was to bump bottom in 65-90' They couldn't take it! Had one nice shaker come off, but mostly the rigger with spoons was quiet. Got a bit North of Kidders and pulled the FF combo and decided to try a little faster and shallow (50'), I was rewarded with a nicely colored brown! As I am writing this I am fishing the chute and my rigger just popped with no one home:angry: Here are a couple pics, sorry hard to get decent photos out here solo. Oh, hot lure, FLT angry alewufe..
