    Hills Valleys and Streams website and order from them. They are located in Elmira NY. You will be helping a local guy and they have all the stuff the big guns report on this site. As a matter of fact Iron Duke works there...he may answer the phone. How much more "on the money can you get" The prices are excellent. Example...Spinny at bass pro..$12.50 Hills...$9.99. I am sure they can arange to send your Salmon stuff as well. They are good people...just call them and ask for Mike, AKA Iron Duke.

    Thanks guys...I changed a few of the settings...definately improved but still has issues...could not find "noise filter" or" salt water" settings. When I get more time later tonight I will go through the disk I received with it. Good luck to all this weekend...My one goal is to get my 9 year old son on the board...he is a copper pullin mad man!!!

    I bought a Humminbird 597 ci hd di. I am having problems with the actual depth reading. It sometimes reads 0 or 2 feet or so when I am trolling. It does'nt matter if my fish hawk x4 is connected or the position of my 2 motors, the speed I am going. It even reads the wrong depth when I am sitting still. I installed the transducer as per the instructions. I am thinking one of the settings is wrong...any ideas?

    The Berkley 50 seems to be OK for trout season(warm) but will not stand the riggors of Perch season(freakin freezin) even with fresh batteries.

    Who ever is penny pinching out there....these guys are legit. I bought a couple dual rodholders that quick adjust for dipsies or straight up for getting into a slip or trailer.(and all positions in between) They are pretty.....very tough.... and the whole order was only $100.00! Berts adjust a bit easier but that bill would be over $300.00 for the same amount of holding. Give em a look...very personal too, the owner and builder will answer the phone when you call. Full nets everybody!!

    I have also seen guys use hose clamps around the mid area of both motors and aluminum tubing with air compressor quick disconnects to assemble and remove. my boat is usually in a lift so I connected them with a aluminum bar from the connecting stud(fine threads)on the main to the tiller handle frame on the kicker. It is very easy to get at when in the water or on the lift. The systems connected in the aft of the motor look like they could be difficult to connect and disconnect while in the water or in a lift. Please correct me if Im wrong...........................Woops.....edit.....didnt get to the second page......yeah kinda like Lund sss system...cant imagine trying to attach or detach over the top and behind especially when the lake is kickin!

    For the second time in the last few weeks I saw a Northern Pike with a large spot or spots of white frothy looking matter on its skin. Both times the fish just very slowly drifted under my boat without even a flinch. Can anyone explain what this is? Thanks...

    Legacy is right..Willis is simple as pie....the trick is to cut the mono at a sharp angle so the tip of the mono is pointed...you will find it feeds in much easier!!!
