  6. thanks man... I was pumped I was casting 100feet or so, and by the time the jig hit the bottom I was over it and could start jigging it I lost one I thought might have been a brown or LL... it smashed it about 30 foot down on the drop...pulled a 100 feet of line then spit it
  7. well...we faught off big waves all day could not get jigs to drop for nothing....finnally figured it out fished from 80-120 FOW fished 1 mile south to 1 mile north of AES landed 5 dropped 7 had our first double then I caught this monster...i'm 6'1" and 330pounds for referance... my wifes went 10 pounds and this one would of swallowed that one whole quick picture and back to the deep she went my buddy caught his first
  8. well the night bite wasn't any better.... started at AES and hit 3 more spots on the way back to myers fished from 5:30 to 8:00 had 4 tail pullers no solid hookups marked a lot of fish...just could not put anything out they wanted
  9. No real fisherman would do that and no fake fisherman would need them...say's it all I can't evan imagine....I hope they find your equiptment....and the dirtbags burn
  10. MOB, congrats thats a great day
  11. sounds like a good day...it was a great day to be on the water i should of went to cayuga owasco had a ton of boat traffic
  12. well it's safe to say...I didn't get much work done this morning kept checking on the live blog after that I left work early...changed my prop and headed to the lake...got there about 5 and fished until 8 I had a box full of Hermit Jigheads and 4" paddle tails... had a lot of short strikes...and burnt through a bunch of paddle tails...my boat looks like a paddletail graveyard lost the first 2 good hookups...needed to get the drag set a little better, after that I landed the next 3....5 to 6 pounds it was a great night...Hermit those jigheads work great
  13. i've read all the old post, but still have a question...I hit a boulder and need to replace my prop, I bought the boat second hand and don't know if this was factory or someone changed it I want to put the same prop back on 14X17...motor 2000, 70hp, johnson the plate on the side of the motor does not have a WOT rpm... just a idle RPM 800 with the current prop it runs 5,500RPM WOT does this seem rite I love the way it performs with this prop, however I don't want to over rev the motor thanks in advance Paul
  14. here's one we pulled out sat by AES, caught it on and 1/8oz jig with twister tail....hot pink
  15. manoverboard that's great news glad it worked out
  16. sounds like a good day it's a blast haveing all line out, then haveing one crush it on the real in
  17. thanks alec I thought it was a carp in the water, but built like a bass....i've been hearing for 3 hours how we should of thrown it in the cooler boat traffic has been bad but we are catching a lot fish....
  18. well boat traffic was to bad to to do any laker jigging so we moved up into a cove to hide and catch some perch....when my wife catches this when she first got it to the boat I didn't know what it was...book says fresh water drum 30 years fishing cayuga never caught one
  19. good luck chowder...just got back...only marks were out in 130-140 fow never had a bit....boat traffic was bad
  20. sounds like a good day glad to see you back out there
  21. this is my 9 year old landed her first laker jigging, had a couple get off at the boat...then i got a little quicker with the net
  22. new@this congrats on a great day fishing, looks like you had a good time I picked up a rubber net... and I'm very happy with it
  23. hermit i just cut the hook off and put a new tube on then tie the hook back on....kinda a pain...but that mean your catching allot man overboard it looks like your tied to the wrong spot...that might be the problem....tie off on the opposite side as the hooks the top jig in your picture is dynamite usually 1 hook in bottom jaw and the other hook usually floats around and gets them somewhere and they don't usually get off when useing plastic swimbait jigs and they are short strikeing i switch to these
  24. We mostly fish from 4 or 5 till dark...my wife will not get up early at night the boat traffic is so bad you can't stay on fish... I spend more time looking for drunks than the F/F mostly I run through an area mark fish and then drift back over them....i also can cover more ground by casting a 100" or so and free spooling to bottom...then I jig my way back to the boat....when I get to the boat I give it 3 or 4 good bounces and reel it in it's working pretty good....
  25. I don't use my F/F like most due...so it has not been a problem the tubes have been working good, and there're cheap so I rig them up on my daughters poles I don't mind when they lose a few sounds like you have a pretty good system
