Yesterday day afternoon my girlfriend and I jumped on my buddy Phil's boat (prize fighter) and went out for an afternoon troll. After about an hour we get our first hit off a 300 dipsey. My girlfriend was up firstand it was her first ever wire fish so she took the rod and just held on as the fish screamed out past 600 ft after well over a half and hour battle we net the fish it hits the deck. The fish bounced around on the scales from 31.05 to mid 32's we fished for a little bit longer and got one more king and a coho. We took the fish to warrens to get an official weight of 31.09 3 ounces short of making the board. We now wished the fish hadn't of coughed up his big alewive he had in his gut. Didn't make the board but definitely made a few memories we will never forget. Thanks again Phil.
