Thanks. The fish we got were trolling. You can see an inline board right behind the boat. We put 10 hours on each motor and broke them in properly before we starting fishing this year. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Hey guys. I know your season doesn't open for a bit, so i'm posting my usual picture to get you excited for the opener and rub it in a bit.
We took delivery of our new boat this spring. Between getting the rigging done and the long lasting winter, we just got our season started. We put our first muskie in the boat last Saturday and added a few more after that. Things are behind so far, as water temps were still mid 40s. The spawn is probably on or about to be on for many of the OH lakes we fish in the spring. Good luck to everyone this year.

Similar to these, but these are larger and little bit different tail section.

I already had somebody else pm me for them, so I'll just post them. The hand written plans are the modifications we made to size and hardware to make them collapsible.

Thats one of my home lakes in the spring. Been fishing it for years. It has had some nice heavy muskies in it, but they can be pretty stingy sometimes. I heard they sprayed/killed all the weeds this summer. PA makes some bad management decisions. With the best muskie hatchery in the state on the lake, it could be way better. St croixs are nice. I own some, but they are usually a little more expensive. All muskie stuff is expensive, but here are a couple good choices that may be a little more economical. St Croix may have some lower cost options too. Probably like an 8 or 8.5' MH for you http://www.biggametackleco.com/muskie-rods.html https://tackleindustries.com/shop/musky_pike_bass_walleye_crappie_fishing_rods/musky_pike_fishing_rods/musky_pike_rods/ Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Oh man...go to a niagara musky association meeting. Those guys can get you on track for there. Trolling cranks or jigging tubes. Thats a delicate, natural fishery. Those guys are rightfully protective of the water and fishery. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Never used live bait for muskies. Not many people do around here. If you do, use a quick strike rig and dont let them swallow it. Id just stick with artificials though. We have 8 and lost 2 so far today. Bakers and Boss Shads. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
You would think, but my dad still doesn't use a computer/have email. I did renew his membership online though. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
You may be right. I thought when I looked yesterday the PFBC had walleye stocking numbers from 2000-2016 for Cow. As I look again this morning under Tioga County, they only had walleye stocking number since 2011. Maybe they didn't stock anything from 2000-2011. If that lake touches another county beside Tioga, I may be missing some walleye stockings. Here's what they have for Cow in Tioga county as far as # of walleye fingerlings stocked:
2011
Walleye
Fingerling
11,000
2013
Walleye
Fingerling
82,000
2014
Walleye
Fingerling
22,000
2015
Walleye
Fingerling
22,000
Thats funny...typical old walleye guy attitude. "The muskies are eating all my walleye." I wonder how many walleye that guy kept and ate vs how many he released. The decline is probably due to other factors. Many good walleye fisheries are also good muskie fisheries, so the fish exist together fine. I looked up stocking reports and they only go as far back as 2000. Both muskies and walleye have been stocked in Cowenesque Lake at least since that time. I guess the walleye fishing went to hell there more than 17 years ago. Nice tigers bobcat. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
