  1. Ive bounced kwik fish around the Niagara Bar and in the river itself with some luck in the fall and spring.
  2. Ouch, well drive safe and tight lines.
  3. Saturday morning will be nice and so should Friday.
  4. Theyre pretty spread out, better fishings been in 200 to 300 for me.
  5. Its too big to figure out in one lifetime lol. This website is the best help out there.
  6. You can catch fish from 100 to 500 FOW right now, the deeper water has a more consistent temperature at lure depth. Where as water temp closer to shore can be affected by wind and current more easily.
  7. I usually have a great time unless I get a bad sun burn lol. End of Junes not too far away youll be on the water in no time!
  8. Wasnt going to fish today but the wind looked nice so I launched out of Fort Niagara to fish for bass, bad idea. People all over the docks, swimming in the boat launch. They had this military thing going on that was pretty cool except for the Huey helicopter flying over every five minutes. Like I could feet the wind from the rotors. Whatever, I get out there and am probably 100 feet off the fort just letting the wind push me along, look over my shoulder and theres a sailboat headed straight at me so I jump down a start the motor and jam it in reverse to get out of the way. Guy went between me and the fort for some reason, guy gave me a nod as he passed 10 feet off the bow. Decided to head up river and the whole way there were people on jet skis jumping my wake. Get to the spot I wanna try and the jet skis are zipping around still, wind picked up and I cant drift right so I said screw it im done. Head back to the launch and the jet skis are in my wake again. Spent maybe an hour on the water. Not a happy man today hopefully venting a little bit will help. If not ill have to go get some IPAs
  9. Lemon ice and NBK have been good to me so far.
  10. Absolutely, ill be out there on Saturday and hopefully Sunday.
  11. Get ready for some traffic a lot of guys will be out, good luck!
  12. If anyone else snags something please post the coordinates and save a GPS waypoint so others can avoid this. The other post mentioned a snag out around 200 FOW, N43*20.252, W78*59.453 If I have time ill go out and look for it in the next few weeks.
  13. I think last year there were guys talking about something around the 4 mile creek area they had snagged on a downrigger. Dont think there was an explanation. If I remember right they picked up a bunch of interference on the fish finder then saw the rigger was hung up.
  14. Not usually, ive tried to get kings that way but they are too spread out. Im gonna try jigging browns later this year.
  15. I was the guy jigging lol. I do just fine had a few hits got a small laker to the boat then trolled around for kings.
  16. I was also out of Wilson this morning. Had a great screen in 55 FOW with hooks all over the place. Had 4 hits on the riggers and lost them all. Heading back out in two hours or so.
  17. Lol mudflat I read that six poles on one rigger and almost died. That's something I'd write after drinking 12 beers.
  18. Definitely talk to gambler, hes like the lake trout god on here, lol. And like pap said i like to hit bottom with my riggers then bring them up 3 or 4 feet, if nothing happens in 5 minutes or so ill drop them to bottom and repeat.
  19. In my experience ive found that lake trout will hit almost anything. Most guys will use cowbells with a spin n glow to get them. The last few years Ive been jigging for them with spoons and swimbaits which can be very effective.
  20. Its pretty ballsy to steal a motor right off the transom. Hope you get some of your gear back if not all of it.
  21. The way its going we could have 40 pounders by summer or fall!
  22. It has been a rough month for east wind lol. Nice atlantic, and better fishing is just around the corner.
  23. Nice, always wanted to fish the salty pond.
  24. Im not a fan of catching lakers on riggers or copper when im trying to catch kings, but I do like targeting them with jigs and light tackle. Its more of a challenge.
