  1. Yes, kill switch was set correctly and it was in neutral, Done that a few times myself.
  2. I couldnt see any ice from shore on Sunday, A few logs but nothing serious. I hooked up with a few steelhead on the bar on April 27th. I ran Rapalas 4 to 10 feet down over the drop off by the red bouy. Most hits were on a Blue/Silver shad body rapala. Speed was 1.7 to 2.2 MPH.
  3. Ive got a 2012 60 Horse Mercury EFI. Went to fire it up Sunday and nothing. It doesnt even turn over. Put the battery on the charger and it went straight to a green light. I checked all the fuses and they are good. My bilge pump, livewell pump, horn, recirculating pump and lights work. My gauges, hydraulic tilt and motor do not work. I've run the boat 7 times already this year without an issue so im pretty confused. Im just looking for any thing to try or anything I missed before I drag it to a mechanic.
  4. Those spoons look good. I have no idea who made them but I wish I did.
  5. Took 3 Mallards yesterday. I also still need a nice deer.
  6. Awesome looking fish.
  7. I did the Niagara today and brought in 3 at the stella drift, good reports from devils hole. Too rough to hit the bar today, but they are there in big numbers.
  8. Do you want to keep the skein on the hook longer? If so just wrap it in that magic thread that is used to tie egg sacs.
  9. Thats a Fatty! Nice fish!
  10. I run Spoons 30 ft behind. Spin Doctors I use a shorter lead of 20 feet.
  11. Love the wire dipsys, just the way that reel screams when a fish hits gets the adrenaline pumping. I use Okuma 55Ls no line counter so I just marked the wire with a sharpie every 20 feet.
  12. According to my GPS, i'm running around 3.2 to 4 MPH. I don't know my down speed but that speed on the surface seems to work well. It took me a while to get the speed right you just have to mess with it a little.
  13. I cut it up after I tore it off. I didnt expect it to be stuck that good.
  14. Had one fall off a fish in the net, then stick its self to the transom. Took quite a bit of pulling to get it off.
  15. I think I was the one of the guys you talked to so ill add my report here. 100-110 was hot right off the bottom. Got one good king that hit the scale at 19.3 pounds, and a decent steelhead. Had 7 knock offs. Had a great screen from 630 until dark lots of bait in the 60 to 90 foot range and fish all over the water column. Mag spoons were all they would hit, not one hit on the Spin Doctors. No Derby fish but there's always tomorrow.
  16. Started out after work solo around 630. Headed to 110 FOW and set up 2 rods at 90 and 100. Bait was all over the screen from 110 to 130 FOW right off bottom. Ended up going 2 for 10, both Kings. Pretty good for only putting 2 lines down. Speed was 3 to 4 MPH. All spoons, magnum DW Lemon Ice and Diehard.
  17. That sucks, 75 yards seems like a good enough distance to keep away to me.
  18. Heres a picture, sorry about the blur, of the screen I had for 2 hours but only pulled one steelhead out of it.
  19. Same story here, lots of marks but only a few takers.

Had another hit at 120 feet that took my flasher and spoon before I could even grab the rod.
  21. The Gander Mountain by me was sold out of all the Magnums and had maybe five smaller spoons left in stock. Guy there told me it might be a few weeks before they got more in. Here is their website. http://www.northernkinglure.com/index.php
