  1. A few of them were 8 and 9 inchers, mostly small ones. Saw a 13 inch one pulled out and a few nice crappie as well.
  2. Ill be out tomorrow and hopefully next weekend if the weather holds!
  3. Don't know if anyone heads south to hit the ice but I was out of long point yesterday one 6 inches of ice. Got over 100 perch and one short walleye. Dragging the sled was pretty easy and one guy even drove his quad out there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  7. I dont know about you guys but I watch a lot of fishing videos on Youtube, and one of my favorites in Lake Fork Guy. Hes out of Texas and mainly fishes for bass, but a few weeks ago he was in NY trying some steelhead fishing. I happened to be on Cattaraugus creek the same day as he was and recognized him and made the cut into his video. Now that im famous I wont have time to post reports or anything else. LOL. He really loved New York's scenery and recognized how difficult steelhead fishing in the tributaries truely is.
  8. Blue dolphin is a steady producer for me. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Also landed some pigs while trolling for trout. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. Was at artpark today, saw a few salmon swim by and one of the three boats out was hitting lake trout non stop. I hooked up with a few lakers but nothing worth bragging about. Green beads and egg sacks under a slip float worked well. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. Fishing is slow and its late in the season. If you want to know something just ask. Most people on here are willing to give their knowledge to the people who ask for it. I know that I will answer questions to the best of my abilities to help other fishermen. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. In clean water I like natural colors, silver, gold, goby colored is good but when it's a little dirtier I throw some fire tiger in or a clown pattern. Silver rapalas are my most consistent. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. The steelhead are just smarter so they let the lakers have the first bite. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. Planet boards, long lines and riggers for me, I like using stickbaits that dive 4 to 8 feet or spoons with a split shot. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. I start out in 10 FOW, then as the day goes on I move deeper. I catch them on mostly stickbaits. 2.0 mph or slower is the best speed. As rolmops said it is important to be in front of a spawning stream. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. Just a heads up if you launch at fort niagara state park I recommend you use the south launch. My trailers fallen off the end of the north ramp several times. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. I'm not aware of any but it's 12 miles from Wilson and 18 Miles from olcott. Lewiston might have a hotel but I'm not sure. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. The fish are there but it's been tough to get them to go, you're probably better off trying the bar. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. If they increase pen stocking does that mean we need more pens built, or do you just add more fish to the pens we have? I'm for the cuts if we do more pen rearing. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. In November ive caught steelhead and browns on 3 or 4 inch plastics with a 1/2 to 3/4 ounce jig head. Lakers will be caught incidentally if you fish near bottom. You can always troll some stick baits or small spoons in shallow and have a good time. In my experience fishing the river and bar in fall there is almost no way to avoid lake trout catches as they move into the same water as steelhead and browns.
  21. Depending on the temps and wind it could change overnight. In a week or two I feel like a lot of fish will be in 30 FOW or less, but if it stay hot then who knows. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  22. Olcott has been good, the niagara bar is another solid option. If you go niagara you can troll the bar or drift the river for kings. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
