I have an 84 Proline w/ an i/o and I'm in the process of purchasing a kicker. I plan to mount a bracket on the back of the boat and connect with an EZ steer connector. What I'm wondering is - where do I put the tank? or do I get it connected to my main tank? I was thinking of putting both of my batteries on the one side of the boat and put the 6 gallon tank where the battery was stored. Concern there is about fumes? Maybe I'm being overly cautious? If I don't do that I thought about placing the tank on the floor and building a step to put over it to get back to the riggers. I appreciate any advice on this! thanks!
I really really like the scotty riggers. The only reason I had an issue was being to using the riggers and the antennae w/ the subtroll. Knowing what I know now I would upgrade to the correct antennae and use multiple stops.
I learned the hard way last year and donated a probe and ball. Was hoping the new antenna purchase would solve that problem this year!

With the warm weather last week we decided to do a little field hunting for some geese/duck. By shooting light Saturday monring we had a bunch of ducks trying to set down but we couldn't get the majority of the pack enough to us. It was a great way to start the day and the weekend. We had luck with both the morning and the evening hunts. I hope we get hit with another patch of warm weather when it opens back up towards the end of February.
yeah, that's what it looks like to me. It definitely adds some character. His right eye is missing as well - must have lost it in a fight. Has a pretty good scar just below the eye too.
Decided to give it a shot in the rain today and am very glad I did. I was putting on a slow push to a buddy when this guy stood up in the golden rod/brush about 30 yards away and the old TC put the smack down on him! Wasn't expecting to see something like this on the last day of the season.
A buddy and I are talking about going out for the 5th and 6th- state land hunt. You going with an outfitter? Any luck in the past?

I took a trip out to Duluth Minnesota last week to connect with some folks I work with remotely on a daily basis and to see some friends. Thought I would take advantage of the first week of gun season and burn a day of vacation while I was there. Knowing I only had 1 day to hunt I was going to make the most of it and sit all day in hopes of seeing a nice buck. Saw a doe around 8am and after that it was dead. I had shot a decent 8pt in the same location last year so I had high hopes of seeing another buck. 1pm hit and this buck hit the same opening as the one last year. I shot him with my 7mag and dropped him in his tracks. The cool part was it was the same opening I had shot the deer the previous year. It was great to be able to connect on a nice buck with a small window to hunt and I'm already looking forward to next year.
Hopefully I can get a shot at another one this weekend! Good luck to everyone on opener! I'm looking forward to reading some great stories.
Hunt with some buddies who have land in the same area. they are experiencing the same issues. Not seeing much of anything - they would always pull some nice deer off the property, but as of late not seeing much.
