Can you register for this after it startss on Saturday?

Put the boat in for awhile getting ready to fish with the big boys in the WHI. Left the house at 4 am was out front of Wilson in 50 ft of water and caught laker upon laker until the boat was covered in slime and all my freshly tied flouro leaders were tarnished. I know I'm supposed to enjoy catching those things but I don't. So we headed out deeper and to west and for the rest of the day did four coho and a small king. Mix of short cores with super slims and braid dipsey with spoons. Seen some really good streaks on the graph shot up from the bottom in 150ft of water right into our spread but nothing. We lost probably atleast five what I assumed were coho on short cores they were a pain to keep buttoned up. Coho wanted it down 20 to 30 ft and not directly below surface. Coho were nice 20 inch or so fish. We did loose what I suspect was a king on a six color, it hit same time as the small king and ripped sone line for about 50 yards and then gone. Today's score for the WHI would of been a 48ish; Ok maybe more like 36ish one of those coho's was a little smaller.

Hopefully the wind blows light in the upcoming weeks so I can use my sick time.

Are you saying the guys using 8 lb braid with floro carbon leaders and fast action tip with a sinker less then two ounces out fish the others? Lol.

One huge trick to catch light biting fish is to touch bottom and slack you're line. This allows the fish to eat the minnow and feel no tension. Slowly lift rod and if there is any wieght set the hook. You will only feel the weight not a bite like if you're line was tight. When the bite is good I just let the minnow sit slack on bottom and set hook five seconds later without feeling a bite. On tough days this separates the guys that catch ten from the guys who catch five times that many.

If you're not limiting yo need to move lots of perch between sturgeon and Catt.

stealth core 27lb. I love my stealth core. I fish walleye on Erie and it works for me.

Love my 7ft medium action ugly sticks with a TX 22 church boards and segmented cores.

I say skip the project and chase around college girls, while making marginal to reckless life choices. Just my opinion.

I meant a $100 in chemicals and wax every couple years.

I have a 26 ft sea boss that I keep in the water. I believe I am going to have the bottom painted. I was quoted a $1000. It has never been painted. The last few years I have just cleaned the bottom and waxed but that is a tone of work and I spend a $1000 in chemicals. Just looking for opinions.

Listed new for over a hundred dollars online. It is a really nice rod. Make an offer or would trade for a set of used 9 to 10 ft diver rods or some reels for short cores. I open for offers. The action is so different then my other rods I use for boards.

They work but for my they are my least productive stick baits. I use my bay rats on Erie and they get out fished by other sticks.

Going Saturday for five days family vacation but that means we will be fishing. Staying on Ocean and Nags head. I am going to try surf fishing but will also trying fishing off the beach and piers. Rigging up some rigger rods with spinning gear and obvouisly bring my regular spinning rods. Any advice would really help. We will also be booking a nearshore and offshore trip. Please comment any help would be appreciated.
