Gotta be tough when you combine structure AND current AND seemingly endless area to target eyes. Of course they are in current breaks, but tough to present any other way than your super heavy bottom bouncers! Good job...must have popeye right forearm! And a 100 yard wide spread! Cant stop...cant speed up...cant turn sharp...that is restricted! Though perhaps not in the eyes of the law... Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Im sure id love the amish boards, but i went with otters so i could easily pull them in to clean weeds or when packing up for the day. Last weekend i had pikefreak jr (8 yrs old i think) doing the board reeling and he cranked them in on the fly doing 3mph while we ran lines. Also just wanted to say my 7 foot masts, reels, and launcher from Tony at Great Lakes Planers is awesome. He is a great guy to deal with and he delivered ahead of schedule and under the quoted price! I store my otters on the offset bars i added that puts my tow point and launcher ahead of my masts/trees. I put 1 keel on each side of the 2inch tubing...they ride great and out of the way. I was on chautuaqua 2 years ago and about 50 little sailboats come pouring across the lake right in front of me...all little kids! I barely got my gear in before i was into them. Scary for me...they hadnt a care in the world. Same thing happened with boy scouts in canoes on cayuga....someday im gonna clothesline me a skier on otisco...they come real close to my boards! They have the whole lake and they come to show off...oh well nothing we can do except vent here! Lol Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Yea as much as id enjoy it im definitely not hauling a truckload of carp from the lake to hunting camp! The farm we lease does a fine job of putting in crops! Ill do it when i find someone who will take em. Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I can live with the boaters...its fisherman that know better that need the talking to! Spotlights when walleye fishing shallows is my pet peeve....if a boat wants to quietly sneak in the spot im fishing i could care less, i share info and my spots, but most guys around here come in with their big motors and spotlights and the bite shuts off for an hour then after 50 minutes they get bored and fire up and spook everything again. It doesnt shut the bass down bad but walleyes is another matter! I all ever hear is this lake isnt any good anymore...REALLY.... Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I have a bowfishing rig I bought, but never do it because I cant figure out what to do with the dead carp? I know I would love the hunting of them...but then what? They have been out in full force since the carp season opened here on Otisco. Water is crystal clear now too! Wish I knew someone who had a use for em...they dont bother me enough to just kill em and then fill the dumpster here. Plus the mess on the boat must be unreal! Got to fish with my son for a second night along with rnsurfnturf's dad Paul. Got setup about 1030 and immediately started catch largies and a few smallies. Like clockwork the walleyes came in about 12 and we picked off 5 from 23-28 inches from 4 to 9 lbs. I caught my first ever little walleye here....13 inches and chunky! Just when i thought we'd limit the bite just stopped. Minutes later paul hooks up with a huge tiger! After an epic battle around the boat, motor, trolling motor, and pontoons the fish broke him off running under and rubbing the line 1 too many times on the pontoons. Then i hook up with another good fish, he straightened and twisted the treble...bye bye. Cody then hooks and lands a feisty little tiger. All n all it was a exciting night with plenty of chaos. No idea how many bass we caught, but we had 2 over 20" We also did some cursing on several misses and drops. Paul got 2 white perch and we must have set the hook on 25 plus alewives. On the way back we checked another spot and we all about soiled our drawers when another fisherman starts talking to us from his unlit electric powered (silent) rowboat as he passed us 10 yds beside us. He was skunked again he informed us...no walleye in here anymore! Cant imagine the fishing being any better anywhere! If we get 1 more weekend of bait boiling ill be ecstatic, and ready for sleep! Well some species on certain lakes precision depth control is everything! Like walleye here at otisco...if you are off by 2-3 feet either way nada! Speed, color, and presentation are also just as fussy...but thats walleye. Trout are much easier! Sent from my SPH-L710 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

My son and I spent the day TRYING for a nice tiger. What we got was some beautiful follows and 1 hook up on an upper 30's. Water was flat and CRYSTAL clear finally! I couldnt even get a follow throwing bucktail spinners, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits and flukes. Cody had all the action on a havoc perch swimbait and a weighted swimbait hook...of course he only brought 2 and the first tiger ripped 1 in half leaving me trying to copy with no luck. He had 3 big follows an 2 dinks. I wanted him to vary speed more, but couldnt say much as he was doing way better than me...and he doesnt always listen...lol! Gorgeous day and gorgeous fish...we needed a go pro on the trolling motor and we would have had awesome footage. Someday... Sent from my SPH-L710 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I mean this bomber...you can swim it like a wake bait rod tip up on the best nights...or slow roll it rod tip at 3 oclock or down on nights that they wont hit surface well. Try walleye tacos or fajitas! Any recipe with chicken works just dont overcook. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
