  1. Casted last night from midnight to 4am with lyke2fish. Plenty of bait working but the eyes never really got going. We searched 6 areas and found a couple active fish in 1 spot with no takers. 1 spot had action but it was so scattered that they were difficult to target. I ended up sticking 1 nice 4+ pounder that was one of the hardest surface hit ive ever had from a walleye. The rest of the areas had zero walleye action. Lake was too flat and sky to clear. Im gonna sleep tonight i think....3 back to back to back all nighters and im whipped...maybe ill cast from shore... Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Yep thats my guess...i did it with a buddy for lakers on cayuga...he slammed em...i tried it and found it WORK! Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. If you end up splitting them up id be interested in a couple Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Jeff, Last night the area south of laders that we both did well in looked set up but i couldnt move a rod though i didnt work to hard at it knowing i was gonna cast all night...better check north of laders up to footprints...there has been more action there as of lately Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Nice to see sportsman share the resource.... Devin you just cant get that boat off the eyes! Even when you are targeting trout n salmon! Sent from my SPH-L710 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. At least you bent some rods Kevin! Im spoiled with small water...dont have to look long to find em Sent from my SPH-L710 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. While I was fixing the boat it was real quiet and when she started up I could faintly hear the eyes crying! Sent from my SPH-L710 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. More like 7-8...berkshire ny!...we have caught 3 bigger...did a 9+ plus on a flyrod in my early teens...we have 4 ponds, and 3 are zero pressure...1 we let the neighbors fish Sent from my SPH-L710 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. John, Im 100 percent fixed and you have standing invite! Enjoyed your humor even in a bad situation! Joe You really should come up here its on! Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Well its a story of good and bad... Went out with johnnywalleye and lyke2fish last night and pounded out a nice limit. Had an awesome time with 2 GREAT guys! Then it went south fast when my motor wouldn't start to get back. Ended up calling my buddy Wayne to tow us in...but not before i trolled up 1 last eye in 65 fow on 1 spin pole while i waited for a tow! I wanna thank both of them for their patience with the bad situation. I rebuilt carb, flushed the lines, put another filter on and swapped tanks...problem solved...good as new. Shane Ryfun here at the campground helped me big time! He runs a fine buisness and is truly good guy. Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Rebuilt the carb and changed tanks today...purrs like a kitten! Problem solved... Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. My recommendation on getting eyes and less bass is too get the boat a medium cast off shore and cast parallel to shore not towards it with hj14s in black n silver or blue n orange. Id focus on the night bite if your in that close. This is the pattern I use on Otisco. When we get closer to shore we get a lot more bass and a smaller run of eyes...also slowing down can help... 13. Thanks for the report old man! Better than a 9 dollar launch... Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. With those short setbacks and shallow water its gotta be almost like casting for em! I know a lot of guys like wonderbread as a color, but i ve never even had a release on it here on Otisco. Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. More than ever Joe! Cant catch a walleye here less than 3+ pounds. Ill take some pics tonight.... Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Got out last night bout 10 with fellow lou members captain eyes and 315angler for some walleye action. We had a steady pick on hj14s landing 6 from 3-7 pounds. Had a great time with them and each of us caught 2. I probably spent too much time working floaters to no avail, but love hearing the hit so I had to try. The bite was strictly on suspenders with our best fish coming from 10+ feet. They both did a great job and we didnt snag any docks, trees, etc. Fishing is definitely solid and alewive action unreal all night. Sent from my N9500 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Nothing better than passing more unenforceable laws that literally cannot be complied with completely! The biggest thing that you just cannot clean is anything stuck between the boat and trailer. I do what I can when I trailer but I know Im not getting it all. The 7 day thing is just absurd. If your boat sits around more than 7 days regularly why have one...cheaper to take a charter if you fish that little. What happens to all of the bleach and disinfectants that will be sprayed over and over at the launch? Wont that drain to the lake and over time cause a problem? Who monitors the concentration of the "mild" bleach solution? Chemicals just cant be great over time. Not to mention the chaos at the launch area if people actually try to comply. Seems like someone in Albany would see the problem with this legislation. Im definitely for making an effort to slow invasives...but this isnt the answer. I find it hard to believe this law will have ANY positive impact on the environment.
  18. Sounds like a busy morning Kevin. Way to go!
  19. Oh believe me im hauling it! DR convenience store in Amber has ethanol free premium and Im saving money!! I find myself looking in the gas can carefully before transferring. If there was ANYTHING like what was in my filters id see it for sure. Lesson learned and no real harm done.
  20. Way to go...glad you got some action. Ive had a night or two where we work damn hard for 1...do you cast 1 rod and bait another? Otisco seldom gives em up easy, but I think that's what has me hooked! The spring casting seems to be a smaller run of fish than fall or trolling. Im headed out tonight hopefully I can find a couple!
  21. Carp arent bottom feeders only! I caught a monster carp trolling eyes/tigers 30 down over 60fow on a tdd11 and the entire bait was engulfed...both trebles! Best fight ive ever had by far, and that includes a 40lb striper and some tigers over 20lbs. I cant find the pic, but I posted it in the walleye forum last august. Great catch pikefreak!! Noticed in the pic you fish from a pontoon also...mine is now custom for trolling in the stern and set up to cast on the bow.
  22. Sounds like a great trip! Was this one of the better years for you or has it been good right from the start?
  23. What are the other rules from years past?
  24. In the neverending fuel issue saga there is light at the end of the tunnel. My tank is clean I think, and I pulled filter number SEVEN cut it open and finally not terrible. Put in number 8 and motor idles for a while anyways. Had to use the key to turn off the motor for the first time in weeks. This was an absolute nightmare. Its tough to focus on fishing when you know you cant idle...thank god for my terrova or I couldnt have docked. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. Well ive got lots of walleye scallops so far and it seems like ill have plenty for everyone at the cookout if the recent good fishing continues. If anyone cant make let me know because there is few guys waiting. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
