  1. I have a couple other spots I wanna use it and I might do a logo in one spot. Thanks for the info...I have 5-6 more days to get everything done. Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. My floor came out as I had hoped. Thanks for the advice...how did you inlay the boat name? I used a 5/32 X 3/32 V trowel to spread the kiwi grip. I also had 3 of the 4 inch textured roller covers so I put all 3 on a 12 inch roller frame. I trowelled and rolled the kiwi in the same direction so the texture is directional and will wash down better. I had to spread the kiwi very evenly and thin to minimize the texture. I was very surprised how difficult it was to get the exact finish I wanted and I use a notch trowel for a living! I love the final result though. 3. Did you trowel it on then roll or just roll? I was thinking if i trowelled it with the appropriate sized v notch trowel i could get an even thickness. Then it will just be a matter of consistent rolling. Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Im putting kiwi down today myself...any tips? Getting the carpet glue up was an absolute nightmare! I patched all the seams, fasteners, and imperfections in the plywood deck with sandable epoxy and then sealed it yesterday. Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. My guess is that the dec keeps the stocking density down because the pike are there, and therefore catch rates on conesus will be lower for tigers than otisco. Raising the limit will make the fish you do catch in line with quality coming from otisco. Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. He is fishing for tiger musky and thats a very common trolling range for summer. I think if i remember right the scatter raps are like most of the rapala line and the handle speeds up into the saltwater range...like up over 5... Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. We all get older and maybe we see our own mortality, but in any case its common to question what we kill and why. Nothing wrong with being predator...i ate everything i caught back then...and dont feel a bit bad. On the other hand I had one die on me because we took too many pics, and even though we ate it Im still bothered by it... Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. I have several scatter raps and havent caught 1 single fish trolling or casting....i had high hopes for them. Ill try them on other water and im sure they will work well somewhere! Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Im helping my sons buddy do a similar project at my house. Motor is off and he will be hogging all the rotten plywood out this weekend. Once its clean we are pouring seacast. Ill post a few pics Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I wear merrell slip on jungle mocs till most of the season. I like the slip ons so i can easily remove layers as the day warms. Great for people that need arch support. I wear orthotics in them now that I have plantar faciitis. Never bare feet Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. I dont do as well off the riggers but its a ball hooking them on lighter tackle so close to the boat. Anyone using walleye copper instead of lead core? Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Managed 1 fat little 3.5 pounder Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Tracy doesnt bat an eye at all the lures and tackle....everytime she spots a rod tube delivered on the porch on the hand...i hear the how many rods does it take! I just ask her how many shoes does it take! Made a little drive down to Cannonsville reservoir this afternoon. Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. I do 10-25 feet...I used to think they had to be off long lines till Miss em showed me how he was getting em on 14 foot fixed cheaters. I run diving cranks off mine too... Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Im not out in what you would call rough, but a pontoon in whitecaps will rock hard on the turns. Plenty of opportunities to have a problem. I let everyone run lines and handle gear after a lesson or two. Just tried pipe insulation on a spin rod and anything throws off the balance so bad its not gonna be worth it. Im gonna try a few on trolling set ups though. Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. So those floats stay on all the time? Have they ever gotten in your way? If not I think I may have to get some. My cheap rods arent much of a worry with guests and customers, but i do have very pricey spin tackle and im upgrading my walleye rods and reels this year also. Amazingly I havent lost one....knock on wood! Though I nearly had a boy pulled outta the boat...if it werent for a dad paying attention! Note to self...little kids cant handle a musky rod when the drag is locked down! Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. I hope we can grow chapter 69 giving us a larger voice. Changing public opinion of Esox, how Esox are managed in our states waters, and conservation are difficult issues requiring a large organized voice. Hopefully we all make a few friends and catch a few fish together along the way. Sent from my LGLS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. If anyone is interested in car pooling from the binghamton area let me know.
  20. I reported the situation to the DEC repeatedly until they told me to stop. I was told the sewage treatment facility is doing the best they can. The flood is the reason we have fishing that is a little off imo. Like Bob said though i think it will rebound and i think we are simply on a downcycle.
  21. I got all my aluminum from Weitsman's in owego. I buy the material cut and bent if necessary then do the rest myself. Alot of what I bought came from their scrap bin. If you have a shop make them probably will be over the $100.
  22. That's a nice fish for sure. Managed differently there is no reason to think Conesus wouldnt produce a more catchable population of tigers and more importantly big tigers. The limit has to be raised and stocking density has to be raised if this is ever to happen. I know if last year is any indication, the sky is the limit on Otisco.
  23. With the late walleye season this year we are gonna seriously target them on Otisco for the first time. I always got enough off my dock, but Im gonna try to put some up and kill a few less walleye.
  24. Has anyone used the garmin panoptix? Seems like the ultimate whether forward facing for casting or rear for trolling...tough decision picking a brand. If lowrance had the auto chart live the decision would be easier for me!
