  1. The problem is walleye dont make a very good sportfish but are very tasty. It adds up to the fact that most walleye anglers aren't out there to release fish. I'm not saying its right just the way it is. I fish a put, grow, take fishery so I take what I know Ill eat. Tough topic...
  2. Wasn't me...I slept in after a couple hard days and no eyes to show for it. Sunday i saw temps over 80 and more hot days can only help. That area has a good tiger that hangs around the yellow floating dock in the turn and have caught many tigers and walleye all the way around laders. It is the best structure/feature on the lake with the possible exception of the causeway. In fact the fishing hotspot book i have says " dont neglect laders point" Finding fish wasnt the hard part with eyes last weekend....its getting em to commit.
  3. Glad to hear you are ok!
  4. Great fish! The quality continues! There has always been good tigers but I truly think the increase from 30 to 36 inches is making a difference....if we could only get it up to 40"!
  5. Awesome fish!! Thanks for posting!
  6. Picked up this 38 trolling for eyes. Fish took a perch tdd9 down 22 over 22...bait was ticking across the top of a hump just south of the little camp for sale on the west side. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  16. I'm having my second annual event this Saturday the 18th if anyone is interested. Sign up in the thread in the walleye forum. $25 entry and 100% return. Cookout following. We have room on at least one boat so you dont even need a boat. It has been a spoon bite so gotta be a boat or two interested in giving it a try.
  17. With the number of boats and the time we were out there it is very encouraging that we were able to move a walleye. Jeff had similar luck during similar hours. Looking forward to an early morning try. Always great to get together Tim!
  18. 10 boats so far....
  19. Saw surface temps as high as 79 today and looking better everyday. Weather looks hot for this week and fishing is gonna be pretty good and awesome compared to last year. We blundered into a few fish around 3pm off the water by 5. Pleasure boaters everywhere, but we kept our spread tight and had a great time.
  20. It just started. Several guys myself included have begun catching em trolling in the middle of the day. PM sent
  21. I had rougarou (Mike) and Fred out for some tigers and to show them one of my favorite techniques. I also wanted to find a tiger for them working bait on shore at night and show them the top water action. We started about 4 and stuck two decent fish immediately on the eel. Mike wasnt able to land either but both were dramatic hit right behind the boat in the wash. After that we worked hard till dark and only raised 1 more little guy. We went back out at 11pm to look for a tiger on bait and with the big jump in surface temp, 78 at the high, the bait all but stopped coming in, and therefore no predatory fish came in with em. All in all had a blast and I'm happy to see the night bite end!!! In a month I'll be missing the boiling bait, but I'm ready to sleep at night. Water levels are closer to normal and clarity is good. 22. On an even better note with the sunny day yesterday surface temps hit 77 and bait all but quit coming in over night. Two nights ago bait everywhere last night hardly any. One more day of good weather and the alewife spawn is over! Bring on summer trolling!!! Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Up to nine boats...looks like we will have good size party after!!! Looks like we will pay 2 spots...I know there's a few more guys out there that fish here....
