  1. Got out after the storms passed last night and fished 1-4. Struggled in high wind getting the boat positioned and the anchor to hold, but as soon as the wind died a bit we were on em. Finished with 3 and Matt missed 6. Fish all came on surface and weighed 4, 6.25, 7.5 lbs.
  2. Id say we are at a half dozen or so....Ill start a signup thread.
  3. I wish the diary program was online!
  4. Check the walleye section....lots of info there...if you are trolling check out miss em's posts...he lays it out clearly.
  5. If you make it to Otisco for eyes or tigers you won't have to worry about any fleas.
  6. As busy as you are all nighters casting bombers isn't feasible! I can't wait for it to get just a bit better...I'm dying to fly fish for em at night. As if I need to make it harder! Oneida is a walleye factory...awesome fishery! Windy all weekend during the day on Otisco...made a loop for tigers each day and my toon was a rocking on the cross lake troll!
  7. Nice work Kevin!
  8. Nice batch!! Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Tnx BTW for the kind words Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I saw you in there...didn't know it was you tho....nice work! I was around the the other side. We were in a lot of bass on one side of us and tigers on the other....34" was the biggest. Tough pick on eyes for us we went 1-3. Bit chilly were ya? Gotta come prepared for class! Lol Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Bigger divers and no weight will get down to bottom almost anywhere. You won't get as many fish on the big reefs and raps, but you get better fish. Deep divers with braid and riggers allows a much faster troll too! In summer I've caught some nice fish there as fast 3.5. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. John if you hit it soon before the weeds get up bad you won't need exact waypoints to fish that area. Wait too long and you have to scout first in daylight and make some waypoints where there is less weeds. And of course you can check with me and just go with me too! 13. Great job Kevin!
  14. Without a doubt, but putting some time in is always part of success. Most everything I do on the water is a blend of a lifetime of fishing, talking fishing, reading about fishing, and even hunting. Just last night once Kevin and i got on fish we both insictively started whispering and sneaking around on the boat like were stalking....and that's just what we were doing stalking fish in 2 fow! Can you make noise? Sure...if you couldn't Wyatt from hunting camp would never catch! But I doubt noises help catch bigger walleye.
  15. Thanks Kevin, but you know as well as i do you can be an expert on one body of water and struggle on other body of water until you put some real time in on the water. A guide can and should shorten that learning curve. Most people never have enough time to learn faster than they forget if you know what I mean.
  16. I saw you plain as day. I heard you catch the tiger i think....there were two big tigers working near me, but thankfully we didn't get into either one. Quite a bit deeper where you were. I enjoy them but not on spin tackle in the dark in super shallow anchored...guaranteed chaos! I've never actually tried to target them at night, but I think its possible if you don't anchor and bring heavier tackle.
  17. Thanks Pap! Profession is too strong a word....just a hobby now....make a few dollars to blow on more gear. Maybe in a few years ill be busy enough, and offer other trips so I could make a few bucks.
  18. Trolling is an option, but casting is the most effective right now. Launch by 930 fish 10-4. Sometimes Ill troll out and/or back if a guest enjoys trolling.
  19. $180 is for 2 people and $30 extra per person up to 4. I fish from a 21' pontoon so there's some room.
  20. The little eye in the pic is 21"....
  21. Went 5-6 last night once we figured out where we had to be. Finally action on floaters and a better bite. 4 fish came on surface explosions on the pause. Action is now at point where I'm offering 6 hour trips for $180 everything included.
  22. Nice work Jeff! I have an extra pen net also...I thought it was you out there a couple hundred yards out from where I anchored?
  23. East shore maybe a mile up from the marina. When the fire rescue boat on its lift its easy to spot. Of course its not in yet...eye action has been good for a week plus....just not everywhere. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. My son made it out bass fishing today and in addition to a great smallmouth bite he picked up 3 30ish tigers. 2 came on kitech swimbaits and 1 on a bass crankbait that was hanging over the gunwale with 2 feet of line out. 2 were caught at the fire rescue boat and 1 on the west shore near the causeway. He also had a follow from a better fish. All 3 fish were released with handling or netting. Every boat out today did well on bass, tigers, and crappie. 1 boat had several 15-16 inch white crappie caught on curl tails.
  25. I finally got around to uploading pics from my camera and here is the 37.5 we caught. Picture doesnt hold a candle to the one Zach posted! Beautiful fish Zach and great pic.
