  1. Nice fish! Great to see kids get out!!! Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. In Canada walleye are pickerel... The law applied to fish caught in a closed season. Bass is open for catch and release and therefore fish can photographed. The idea was to protect fish that shouldn't be targeted or caught in the first place. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Keep in mind nothing wrong with keeping a hole card or two, but your welcome! Somewhere along the way we all learn from others to some degree. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Don't think for a second it isn't a challenge for me too! Im just able to put more time in so I have lots of places and techniques to fall back on when plan a isn't working. Im still waiting for the "real " bite to start. Otisco can and will humble anybody from time to time. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. I always agreed Pap, but the bass fishing has improved nationwide in the last 20 years and numbers and size are up statewide on large mouths. It doesn't seem to hurt though you'd think it would. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Nice work! Good of you to share. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Fish were 21-27 inches and were caught on a hj14, cm11, and shadow raps slow rolled with pauses. They barely were hitting. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Wayne and I scratched out a limit casting from 12 to 1. Gotta get that troll speed down to 2 max. Get a troll bag or make one. At least the weather cooperated. I'm on pattern, but the bite is still not prime by any means. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Give a shout next time you are coming I have a couple things I'd like to show you.
  10. Nice job! The bite has been good and im glad you got in it. The big ones seem suspended off shore, but that isn't a casting gig.
  11. Nice fish! Nice work as usual!!! Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Bite has been solid all weekend, but this fish needed a pic!!! I still will post the pic of the fish from last weekend. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Got out today with Tracy, her brother, and his 3 kids for some tiger trolling. I went with a full big board deep perch program, 9 rods fishing from 15 down to 40 down. Never moved a rod until our cross lake troll when we hooked up with this monster. Jarrod had his hands full with the best tiger fight I've seen. Fish took a hundred feet instantly and did a bunch of jumps with over 400 feet of line out. Fish came 15 down over 56 at almost 4 mph!! Fish measured 42 and a quarter. 14. I use deep divers in daytime and get cats suspended. I've caught em up to about 4 mph too!
  15. I get 6-10 a season on Otisco and its always a major let down! Especially if they are 10 plus pounds. If i used worm harnesses I'd catch a ton of em!
  16. Jeff, I know you are one of the good guys afield and I've been on the water 100's of times in a canoe with no lights on but I was an idiot! My son and I about got hit by a float plane on seventh lake because I thought I could flash any oncoming boats....so much can happen at night...never take chances.
  17. Great job Jeff, but get lights if you dont have em!! This weekend cant come soon enough!
  18. When Kevin starts posting its time!
  19. I can help you work up a trolling pattern....call or pm me.
  20. There were a few fish caught in the marina after we fished it. We couldnt move a rod casting, and we sure tried.
  21. I agree...great turnout and I cant wait till next year!
  22. In that style of tournament with alot of boats you have to figure you need a limit of big fish not numbers. Trolling bigger lures doesnt produce as many fish on Oneida, but with the right program the fish you catch will be bigger. I always ran a couple smaller lures on downriggers and down the chute so we had action and big wally divers, rapalas, and reef runners out on boards for big fish. I also believe faster speeds produce less small fish.
  23. I was out also and it wasn't good for me either....I even trolled back. It'll turn on very soon! Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. We released ten percent of our legal walleye which was just over 20 fish, and try to keep em over 21. I will say we are seeing many age classes of fish now and 4 years ago it was just big fish a little like Owasco. Keep sending emails...I believe we are the top of the list for surplus walleye fry. 25. Nice work John! On my way back out now...hope we do a 3 man ticket Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
