  1. i hear you there! I had my islander out in over 8' swells last year and I felt totally safe. These were not the breakers though. Did take one over the stern soaked my brother sitting in the jump seat haha. Auto bilge kicked on
  2. Just stay in sight of the shoreline and no issues what so ever. just dont go out when its real windy or rough. thats just common sence.

  8. Looking to install a swim platform for the back of my islander. This will be used for both cooler space and for the kids to get in/out of the boat easierthan using the ladder. I would like to have the drop down ladders on it as well. anyone have a good site to look at for these? I want the composite one.

  19. yeah I will probably have to mess with that set screw that we are not supposed to touch!
  20. I have the I/o to outboard kicker Es steer. Although I provided the exact measurement to the Ez steer rep and everything mounted fine, it has never really worked all that well. There is a tension set screw you can adjust once installed and moving the main wheel back and forth. For some reason the Ez steer seems to come apart therefore not allowing for proper steering position. Haven't been able to get this corrected yet. One thing I would suggest though is to use a bungee cord from the Ez steer rod to your kicker or something cause they can pop off when u raise you engine etc. better safe than sorry

    Ditch Bag

Yup and I would hope that u never do. Last year I fished lake o in not so nice weather. Over 4' waves. I felt confident as long as I stayed vigilant at the wheel. First time my buddy that was fishing with me actually put his life jacket on

  24. These reels are highly rated from what I have read, may just give one a try. Anyone else have additional reviews on the saltiest?
