  1. we are heading to Wellelsey island sat thru Wedneday. been reading up on Canadian Customs and when to report. basically says that as long as you are cruising from one US port to another US port but sway into canadian waters, then you do not need to report. Also, we do not all have Enhanced ID or Passports so we wont be landing on Canadian soil at all
  2. Heading up there this coming Saturday and staying through Wednesday. I know the Bass/Northern etc fishing is good. Any pointers on the walleye? Is it possible to head into Lake O for some salmon in the trench? Any ideas about how long a trip that would be?
  3. Very cool
  4. Trying to remember was it three seasons ago that was out of this world fishing??
  5. I agree with rich for lake o fishing might as well get the 221 over the 191 version. U get just that much more room. I also agree that the 4.3l v6 is the perfect match for the 221. I have a 1991 islander with the carbureted engine, I wish it had the fuel injected but other than that it's the ideal boat for me
  6. I was a week off I should have said 2 weekends ago
  7. For the skinny it depends on which hole you connect to front hole tighter loop rear hole larger loop
  8. It's kind of funny because I purchased my 1991 221 islander for the same price in 2012 in the end of September.mso someone is out there I would suggest you throw it on craigslist
  9. thanks, yeah, pretty much says that you have to call right on the website.
  10. Just dont know if they have the bluetooth one
  11. Sorry, I know that this has been posted someplace but cant find it. Looking to pull the trigger. Help!
  12. Surprised it hasent yet actually
  13. finsntins has it right. I have been fishing Lake O last three summers without a probe with limited success. I have been thinking backwards. Thinking that yeah, I only get out there to fish once or twice a summer why spend $800 on a probe..Well, not catching fish when you invest on the trip sucks worse. would rather spend the $ and have better success then not! I will have one next year no question.
  14. Oh, I just meant in my plano box "tray" that I am using. the fly fits in there but the coiled leader is to wide etc. I will have to post a pick to be understood. But yeah, I do coil my leaders.
  15. yeah, I am sure DEC is utilizing some else's boat for the project, happens frequently.
  16. there really is no good way especially with coiling the leader. PITA really I have been using the plano tackle box tray system, works but the damn leader always is the PITA
  17. Its funny to me that in the Finger Lakes homes on the lake are called "cottages". On our Adirondack Lakes they are called "camps". Just interesting.
  18. I tried cowbells and a peanut on the bottom Sunday and nothing. But may have been fishing too fast
  19. This is on topic as well. Does anyone take the fly skirt off and flip it so that the plastic tube piece points toward the hook? Seems like the skirt is fuller and has more movement in the water that way. I don't know why they come the other way
  20. 42-44 as per captain keating
  21. I could literally watch the fish come up off the bottom to the rigger ball follow it for awhile then head back down. That was crazy cool
  22. yup, that is the one I will get. I believe Northwoods Supply had the best price if Irecal in other posts.
  23. I am already committed to getting the newest fish hawk for 2016 whatever that may be. Right now it is the X4 which includes depth and bluetooth correct?
  24. My head is spinning. I do the same thing watch my shark weights on my screen and I lower them to where I want them. I do see what has been said here measuring the distance between the duper and whatever is under it but isn't that telling us all the info we need? Trying to put the pieces of the pullze together here in comparison to the info from the fish hawk. I will have a fish hawk x4d the next time I fish lake o have already made up my mind on that
