  1. I was thinking that as well. There were some posts on it at one point
  2. I have both. I like running the big boards until it gets to busy, then it can become difficult to navigate. That is when I switch to the in lines
  3. What are Harveys?
  4. Havent you ever seen Bottom Feeders? the Carp fishing industry is getting strong. its a win win if you ask me. they overpopulate and kill a lake if uncontrolled. Big export sale...
  5. i WOULD THINK that pancake weights are the most idea for getting down to depth due to their small diameter. they do not seem to be very popular though. maybe they are affected the most by current? I only have 8 lb homemade round weights.
  6. Heading up to Mexico to hopefully hit some browns but not until weekend of May 24th. Will this be little to late to get into any decent action given the later than normal ice out or will they still be around? Never been in the spring yet
  7. Eastern basin say mid July on
  8. Yeah I was told that allot of smelt now spawn in the lakes and not in the rivers
  9. Do u have a particular site you stay on at fair haven? I have been looking into a trip there but have never been. That park gets packed in the summer months
  10. Are they running yet? I used to (about 10 years now) dip smelt at the Taughannak Park. area and some other spots. cant really remember where exactly. Wondering if they are running yet
  11. IF YOUR REAL WORRIED, leave a 100W lightbulb under the lower unit
  12. I am sure you will get some interest with that price
  13. Looks like those browns all had some lamprey marks....
  14. I get all confused as to the lb ratings compared to size of swivel. Are they uniform or no? I have been using the solid ring coast lock swivels. Pretty sure they are the bass pro brand but are solid ring. This was for salmon. Can't remember the size now, but had three different sizes.
  15. My older late 80's MAG 10A's will not accept the low profile bases I dont think? I do have the swivel bases on both of them though
  16. yes it is true, I have two older Canon Mag10A's that one of the bases is cracked. I put some duct tape around it..I think I will do the teather deal though, makes sence.
  17. that is sweet right there, very well done. Very versatile setup.
  18. u have the same planer board reels and are in about the same location as mine are on my islander. Do u find that the line hangs up in the waves?
  19. Yeah, I have a small maple syrup operation. My first real sap run was today. March is typically the prime sugarin month. I never boiled once in march this year
  20. What is this all about? Do explain
  21. Yeah that is what I guess I meant however u just gave me an idea to better my system! Man, always learning!
  22. Didn't u already say that shows are allowed now during the archery seasons though?
  23. The best way I have found is to create your wishlist of specific baits that u can pass out to family members for Christmas and birthday gift ideas! Haha. I have been pretty successful using this method! I also require each friend that I take fishing to purchase a specific lure to be added to my box. Hey, it's the least they can do getting a free fishing trip...haha
  24. I will mention that the higher u get the reels the better off u will be. In high waves if the line is too low it will catch in the waves and affect how far out the board can go
  25. Mine are mounted on the rail. Wouldn't be easy with a hardtop though I wouldn't think
