I just cant seem to find this piece of hardware. would love to hear from some islander owners out there. they will understand what part I need

Looking for some accessories for my canopy on the 221V islander. The plastic piece that the canopy's pole goes into. its plasic and has several positions. both of mine or broke

For the 15HP kicker, do you simply spray some of the seafoam into the cylendar and let it sit for awhitle (after it is up to temp)..then with the spark plug still out, turn it over to remove the excess. then reinstall the plugs..then fire it up?

I am gonna pick up some SeaFoam Deep Creep spray and apply it to my carburated 4.3L V6 mercruiser in the Islander..I watched the youtube directions but they are only for a vehicle and not a marine engine. Dont know if it differs at all?

Ok so My islander has been running alittle rough as whe nI bought it it had 25 gallons of year old untreated fuel in it. I topped it off and added the correct amount of Star Tron. I have run it twice and it still runs alittle rough but not bad. Was thinking about adding some Marvel Mystery Oil to the fuel to see if that helps..I think the carbs could use a good cleaning out. What would someone recomend to do? I also have a 15HP Johnson kicker that Ijust picked up used. Want to clean the carbs out on that as well. What would anyone recomend?

I just picked up a Johnson 15HP long shaft..late 80's vintage but in fine shape for my Islander 221V. think it should be perfect setup

thanks for the response. I also have a kicker bracket so I guess I would either have to get a smaller platform for the center..I think for the first summer with the boat Iam going to get a swim ladder like you say. Which model do you have?

Just got a nice used 15HP Johnson for my 221 Islander. Should be ideal for trolling..cant wait to test it out

So my boat is split between fishing and recreation. Two young kids and a wife. The islander I just bought does not have a swim platform on it at all. Thinking about having one installed or installing myslef. Just curious to know if anyone else has done this. Have not decided on full/partial or a simple swim ladder yet. I like the idea of having a small platform over the lower unit, especially to put the fish cooler on but think this is dangerous for using it as a swimplatform because it is directly over the lower unit. Any thoughts or ideas would be great. thanks

I just bought a 1 21' Islander and plan on fishing lake O next year and cant wait. luckily the Islander came pretty much ready to fish so that I nice. Have some modifications and updates that Iwill be making though. Couple questions, we are planning on haulingthe Islander with our RV and are looking for a decent RV accessable State Park to camp at and launch the islander out of. Would like to have a ramp right there..What park would be a decent try in the spring when the brown fishing is on?

Looking for a decent book on lake Ontario fishing, primarily trolling techniques, tips and strategies..One tht has all of the crazy lure/spoon names would be ideal!

I have read many posts regarding this boat. I am on my way to pick this boat up on Saturday! cant wait! I am not a great Lakes fisherman, mostly Adirondack Lakes, Great Sacandaga and Lake Champlain. The boat I am getting has the V6 in her. I would like to discuss trim tabs. Some posts say that they are a must, some do not mention them. I have never ridden in an islander yet, but have always wanted one. currently have a 17' open bow SeaNymph. For those of you who have put tabs on the 221 I/O, which did you get? I am leaning toward Bennetts. I have looked into the Smart Tabs, but do not think that they are versitly enough for what I want and need. Definatly less $ though.
