  1. I carry bags and have used them on occasion. They dry quickly and do fold up for easy compact storage. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Forgot to mention holder for chute Rod. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I'm out of the water for the season and not the best picture but maybe you can see, this is on 23' Baha. 4 riggers across the back, Berts Ratcheting and 3 360 degree adjustable each side. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Sorry but I'll agree with chinook on eating them. I've tried all sizes, all different lakes, times of year and different ways to cook. The cooking device tastes better. They do however keep you awake when nothing else is biting. Everyone have a safe winter, Steelhead are almost here. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Back in the late 80's and early 90's fishing was great and at a peak then slowly fell off only to come back up again 5 years ago and now is falling off again. People are spoiled when fishing is great and expect it every trip. Enjoy the lake and the experience it will be back up Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. I'm interested in the diver rods, PM sent Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Up until this weekend mine was working fine and then became intermittent with being off/on while trolling. I too thought battery and replaced in probe with no difference. The next day probe wasn't hooked up and temp showed up twice on unit. I have pulled my boat for the year due to other issues but I'm looking at ground first. I'll be watching post to see if that helps you. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Rigger counter should be at "000" when it's up. Your reels/line out will never match the rigger because more line than cable is out due to bellying of the line from the pole. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Very nice, a great memory for life. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. No the juice should be drained Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. You can order cures on line or use one of the many home recipes you can also find online. I myself use Procure which I get at Gander. It's just loose crystal form that mixes in with the eggs and then you can leave in refrigerator or freeze for later. I've thawed, frozen and repeated many times and not a problem. Some say they don't like this cure but the Steelhead don't seem to care much. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. I know it was mentioned earlier and it may sound like a stupid question but is the coated cable stripped on the thimble that is attached to the probe? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Fished from Selkirk to the South Dune, 100-170 FOW. 45-46 down 95' but no bait or fish. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Fished yesterday from Selkirk to the South Dune, 100-170 FOW. Exactly what Chinook said. If I put the marks I saw in the box I would still be short a limit. Just keep hoping they'll show up. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. I run the Blood Run seven strand 30# Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. If you go on their site there is an illustration on setting it up. Make sure you have the coated cable running thru the antenna which is secured to the rigger boom. Attach the probe to your rigger cable and the short wire cable (should have come with the unit) attaches to the probe and then your weight attaches to the short cable. Make sure your unit has power, drop the weight and start fishing. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. I run Cabelas DepthMaster 30's for my wire dipsey reels. Not the best you can buy but they hold up ok, fit 1000' easily and a lot of times they're on sale for around $40. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I would go with a kicker for 2 reasons. One it is better on fuel. I have a 10 hp on a 23' boat and troll all day using minimal fuel. The second reason is it gives you a second motor, it maybe slow but it will get you in if the main engine has problems. Just my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. I just installed a GoPro mount to my hard top between the pole holders but have not had a chance to use it yet but hopefully in another week. My buddy has one mounted similar but underneath to the radio cabinet and it works great. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Nice going sounds like a great trip. We'll be headed up beginning of next week, hope bite is still on. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. No matter what the application for the little extra money it's always worth going with a better battery. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. A lot of Brook Trout were caught on the smaller versions of those on summer vacations in Maine Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. For what it's worth I say spoons will produce anytime but I would run them up until about this time and then move towards flasher/fly or spin doctor/fly combos as the kings start to move in and stage. I will run a combo of each though at time at different depths. As far as colors myself I've always liked greens, chartreuse, blues and oranges with orange earlier and green later. Good luck. 25. I have Cabelas DepthMaster 45's with 200' and 250' of #30 copper both with 900' of #30 Power Pro for backing, fit no problem Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
