Killed em last year at night with wonder bread flasher glow hammer fly. Full moon is helpful, charge ur lures every 20 minutes with high powered led lights.
Waves were 2 to 3s not awful, should be fish able friday too it looks, they were kings mostly natural, by silver I guess more silver compared to a lot that I've seen they still had def had a little dark but for mid September great
I have issues with my 10 hs I was told they need 13 volts from the boat I only have 12.5 idk tho they've been nothing but problem for me Ill go back to manual
Agree with sk8man, anything over 20 lbs guesstimate bring r dips its in, if the fish hits. A copper it won't fight at the boat so leave everything out, if u leave ur riggers down check for zebra mussels if u slow the boat down to idle
Does either one have more of an effect on the reels life expectancy? Putting it on free spool n using your thumb for tension vs using the drag system.... Also does turning the sound down effect it at all? I have been dragging them down but not sure if its best for the reel
Just watch the digits that **** is sharp. I coulda taken a couple stitches just from ting to drag it by hand and the drag was too tight, a bandaid for about 2 weeks straight did the trick tho
Spoons have been doing their fair share of fish too, but flasher flies green dot spin doctor seems consistent, coppers have taken most our fish lately though 400 and 500 ft
The pond has been dredged this spring so should be good. We got four nice kings today in 110 to 140 in from of the pond. By the time u have your trip you can pry start trolling in 90 fow and troll out to find temps or all the boats lol. I counted about 30 in eye sight today
I struggle to run 4 riggers in currents with an 8 ft beam. If I do I stagger them dramatically so if they cross its not a huge deal. I run the inside riggers deep down as far as I can and the other 2 at least 15 to 20 ft above no matter the temp. Can't hurt to run extra lines even outta temp I figure
Nice looking fish. I don't think you made a bad decision personally. Unless you don't fish lake o too often or were looking to get a brown mount. Although its a nice short fat looking fish so woulda been a bit cheaper assuming they charge by inches where you'd take it but you're still looking at 300 or so. I've caught 6 or 7 over 12 in 11 yrs on the lake. You may get another chance.
Yea sounds good, ours doesn't catch fish consistently but when that what they want you can pound em. Got 6 browns one day w no bites on riggers I think it's a lazy action with spoons cuz of the bend. In the line. You could try bending your spoon a bit to make it more aggressive just a thought
Big salmon river? We're out of there as well...everybody's trying something different fishings been inconsistent for browns n kings. Lakers are in 105 to 120 north of river
Come fish with us John! $200 top wow..as a mate 40 seems to be average and im more than happy with it. I get 20 a lot which hey cover my gas on my hour drive to the boat. Getting nothing sucks but happens. 60 is very generous...save the 200 to book another trip that'll make em happy too
