After I tie a knot with braid to my copper and trim the excess, it has a frayed look to it. Can anyone recommend a glue to dab on there that will not weaken the line? Thanks in advance.

I agree with all of Bazooka Joe's statements. That's how we have been doing it as of late. Except we use FleaFlicker. Fleas were ridiculous last year and salmon were biting off stuff from July on out. My two cents...
Dave - If the gut bucket at the marina cleaning station is any indication of how this weekend was... Not much in there.
Saw you out there in the same area. It makes the great days a lot more special when you have to fight through the slow ones.
Tight lines and Screaming drags!

We got a little bit of a late start Saturday morning and headed east out of the chute. Wind was howling and it was lumpy. Set up in front of the park and fished 8-10fow picked up a nice brown on a silver w black back rattlin rogue off the boards. Had to go 3mph just to keep on track in the wind. Fished all the way down to the corner with no results. Worked the area on the corner and headed back. Picked up another decent brown on a black/gold rapala and circled around and went back through the area, but nothing. Trolled back to chute and that was it. Seemed the same for everyone.
Sunday morning up and at them real early with great expectations and a plan. Go east in 8-12ft past the first bluff and if nothing happens turn out to deeper water in search of bait then head west. Couldn't get them to fire so we made our way out to 23' of water and trolled west. Finally found a decent screen and then all hell broke loose! Something slammed our clown smithwiick rogue flatlined 120 of the board and started jumping and peeling drag on our 12lb test rig. After a long and fun fight, we slipped the net under an 18lb king. What a blast! Unfortunately we could not get anything else to go all morning and headed back. It was still a great day!

Hello all - I am going to try to make a second set of keels but need measurements and my planers are 4hrs away on the boat. If someone out there has a keel handy or access to one, can you post the measurements? I think I only really need the lenght and width but the other numbers would be great. Trying to get it done before this weekend!!!
Thanks.

Got a late start Sat morning due to having to trailer boat to State launch then back to dock/slip to set things up and make sure she was running ok. Got out on the lake around 9:00 east out of the chute and set up but had trouble with the new otter boats and took a while to adjust the damn sting lengths so they would run right. After all that we went inside 12fow or so and had a slow pick of a brown and a steelhead. Tried outside a bit more not so much. Went back inside in 8fow and the water temp was up to 50 in spots and we picked the browns up pretty good. Hot plug off the boards was a goby smithwick and the hot spoon was a stinger glow frog 4' down 75 back.
Sunday the weather was way too nasty for us so we installed a new planer board mast and reels mounted to the hardtop. Should work!
Tight lines and screaming drags to all...

Ok, so I bought some Big Weenie heads made for cutbait and strips and tied my own rigs. I also bought a a premade rig with the twinkie teasers. I tied some tournament ties the same as whats used with Atomiks and some single treble rigs. Gonna give it a real go and I will post how I make out later in the season. Good luck and tight lines to all this season!!!
