welcome back.i have met some great people from n.h. through this site.a few of them are coming down the first week of may to fish.if i can help in anyway with info or reports/conditions,shoot me a p.m.good luck.
just stopped at walmart today and picked up a case of super-tech oil.12 bucks a gallon!!!!im so glad i read a post on here a few years ago about the super-tech oil.i had been buying yamaha oil at a local dealer and paying almost 50 bucks a gallon.saves me a couple hundred bucks a summer.
hey jeff,we are staying at 4 mile creek campground for niagra pro-am.i have never stayed there before, but the guy im fishing with has.if you need,i can get the info.from him.
I'm not sure about outboards,I never have used synthetic,to expensive, but I know with snowmobiles, they don't recommend mixing synthetic with non synthetic.i would recommend calling a Mercury dealer if nobody chimes in.
Good job Dan,we fished a few hours from little salmon to the big river never moved a rod.very tough weekend for us.didnt put a lot of time in,but still should have done something.what a difference a week makes!!!!!
Very cold over by catfish,35,but found a pocket of 41,just on the other side of the creek, worked it,but nothing to show for it.see what happens tomorrow.
hey john, welcome aboard,i also lived in jersey, grew up in pal.park and also lived in hopatcong for awhile before moving to n.y.i fish mexico bay out of the little salmon and would be happy to answer any questions you have.shoot me a p.m.talk to you soon.jason.
i dont think it will work on 2 strokes not cause of the carb, but because of the timing advance mechanism on a 2-stroke.the tiny little wire that comes off the servo that opens the carb on a 4-stroke is not strong enough to push the timing advance on a 2-stroke.
good job giz, should have stayed on your boat,we didnt do that well on mine, but was nice to be out on the water again.nice meeting you and your buddy, forgot his name already and looking forward to fishing again.its nice talking to people on this site, but its even better when you can meet and get out and fish together.
well, first trip of the season and all went well.everything worked,no troubles and got to do some fishing FINALLY!!!!!got out around noon today and set up right out side the river and made a right.didnt need to go far, fish were in the nice dirty water the river was pushing out.went 3 for 12 in 3 hours.had alot of releases with no body home.did have 4 on at once which was crazy with just the 2 of us.landed 2 out of the 4.all fish were small.lemon ice took 2 of the fish and a green spoon i painted and taped this past winter took the other and had some knock offs as well.sticks didnt see much action, did loose one lifting him in the boat on a black and silver bayrat.all and all a nice day on the water, was nice to get away from the snow and ice for a weekend, but back home now and the snow and ice are still here.looking forward to next weekend already.i did fish on a fellow l.o.u.members boat this morning and did alot better on his boat then mine, hopefully he will post his results.
On our way to the marina today, caught Jon at his shop and he said he should be open for buisness next weekend.also,he is having his annual jons little salmon river brown trout tournament which will be May 16th.
Wish I could tell you,but you didn't want to be out there today, not for Browns anyway.even though we didn't fish,it was great just putting the boat in and cruising up the river.
